All Cake, Muffin, and Sweet Dessert Recipes for Display
This guide covers every cake, muffin, and sweet dessert recipe you can craft for display in the 3D Placeable Food mod.
Cakes
All cake recipes follow a similar shaped crafting pattern. They require a base of wheat, an egg, and a milk bucket, plus specific flavor ingredients. The exact arrangement matters, so place the ingredients in the grid as you would for a standard Minecraft cake.
Carrot Cake
- Ingredients: Carrot x2, Milk Bucket, Sugar x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Carrot Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Place the wheat across the top row. Put the egg in the center square. Place the milk bucket in the middle of the bottom row. Arrange the two carrots and two sugar in the remaining four spots (left, right, and the two bottom corners).
Chocolate Strawberry Cake
- Ingredients: Sweet Berries x2, Milk Bucket, Cocoa Beans x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Chocolate Strawberry Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Wheat across the top. Egg in the center. Milk bucket at the bottom middle. Fill the remaining four slots with two sweet berries and two cocoa beans.
Fruit Cake
- Ingredients (Option 1): Sweet Berries x2, Milk Bucket, Popped Chorus Fruit x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Fruit Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Same layout as above: wheat top row, egg center, milk bottom middle, and the two sweet berries plus two popped chorus fruit in the other slots.
- Ingredients (Option 2): Sweet Berries x2, Milk Bucket, Chorus Fruit x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Fruit Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Identical to Option 1, but use regular chorus fruit instead of popped chorus fruit. Both versions yield the same Fruit Cake item.
Honey Cake
- Ingredients: Honey Bottle x2, Honeycomb, Milk Bucket x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Honey Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Wheat across the top row. Egg in the center. Place one milk bucket on the left side of the middle row and the other on the right side of the bottom row. Put the two honey bottles in the remaining middle-row slots, and the honeycomb in the bottom-left or bottom-right corner that is free.
Red Velvet Cake
- Ingredients: Sweet Berries x2, Milk Bucket, Red Dye x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: Red Velvet Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Wheat top row, egg center, milk bottom middle. Fill the four remaining slots with two sweet berries and two red dye.
White Strawberry Cake
- Ingredients: Sweet Berries x2, Milk Bucket, Sugar x2, Egg, Wheat x3
- Result: White Strawberry Cake
- Crafting Pattern: Wheat top row, egg center, milk bottom middle. Use two sweet berries and two sugar for the remaining slots.
Displaying Your Desserts
Once crafted, these cakes are intended for display. Place them on any solid surface in your build, such as tables, counters, or shelves. Because they are three-dimensional, they will stand out clearly and add a decorative, edible-looking touch to kitchens, bakeries, or dining areas.
General Tips
Sweet Berries are a common ingredient across many cake recipes, so keep a steady supply from berry bushes.
Milk Buckets are consumed during crafting, meaning the bucket itself is not returned to you. Prepare extra buckets of milk if you plan to craft multiple cakes.
Wheat is the structural base for every cake, so farm it in bulk.- The
egg is always placed in the center of the crafting grid, and the
wheat always fills the top row. Memorize this core layout, then swap the side and bottom ingredients to make different cakes. - For the
Fruit Cake, you can use either regular chorus fruit or popped chorus fruit. Both are valid, so use whichever you have on hand.
These recipes cover all the sweet, placeable desserts in the mod. Craft them, arrange them on platters or stands, and they will serve as permanent, decorative centerpieces for any food-themed build.
