Adorn Furniture: Materials, Stonecutting and Drinks

guide

This guide covers how Adorn's enormous block list is organised, the fastest route through it, and the one functional system hidden inside a decoration mod.

Material decides everything

With 1,623 blocks and only 11 items, Adorn's catalogue is built by repeating each furniture shape across every material it supports. Learning one chair, table, sofa and cabinet in one wood teaches you the whole family — swap the material and the recipe shape holds.

That repetition is where the recipe count comes from: 1,722 crafting recipes on 1.21.1, against 1,014 on 1.20.1.

Use the stonecutter for anything stone

517 stonecutting recipes on 1.21.1 (376 on 1.20.1) cover the stone, brick and concrete side of the catalogue. Cutting converts between variants directly, so choosing a different stone for a finished room does not mean gathering ingredients again.

For wooden furniture there is no cutting path — those go through an ordinary crafting grid, one recipe per piece per wood.

The version gap is the biggest decision

The newer build carries roughly 700 more crafting recipes and 140 more stonecutting recipes. That is not a handful of new pieces; it is a substantial share of the mod. A room designed on 1.21.1 may simply not be reproducible on 1.20.1.

Adorn brews

Six recipes across Brewing (4) and Brewing From Fluid (2) are the only functional content in the mod, and both categories are identical on either build. They are easy to overlook in a catalogue this size, but they are the one thing here that is used rather than placed.

Eleven items

The item list is tiny by design. Nothing in Adorn is equipment or an ingredient for another mod — the few items serve the furniture, and everything else you interact with is a placed block.

No worldgen

Adorn generates no structures, so there is nothing to find and nothing gated behind exploration. The mod is available in full from the first crafting table, subject only to having the materials.

Practical advice

Decide the material palette for a build before you start placing, because there is no bulk conversion path for wooden pieces. For stone rooms the stonecutter makes changing your mind cheap; for wooden ones it does not.
