Incubator in The Aether is a sacred warming apparatus used to hatch wild Moa eggs into loyal, rideable flying bird mounts using ambrosium fuel.
Operating the Incubator Warming Station
Hatching delicate avian eggs requires constructing and fueling an incubator workstation:
- Craft an Incubator at a workbench using holystone blocks and ambrosium torches, placing it inside your aviary.
- Open the incubator interface and place an
Ambrosium Shard or 
Ambrosium Torch into the lower combustion slot. - Insert a collected egg into the upper warming slot to begin the incubation process.
- The machine slowly warms the egg, consuming ambrosium fuel over several minutes of steady heating.
- While the incubator warms, prepare a supply of fresh blue
Aechor Petal items gathered from defeated Aechor Plants. - Once incubation finishes, a baby Moa chick emerges onto the floor, chirping hungrily for immediate nourishment.
Feeding Chicks and Mastering Moa Flight
Raising a newly hatched chick into a mature flying mount requires attentive care and proper saddling:
- Feed the newborn chick several Aechor Petal flowers until it matures into a full-grown adult Moa bird.
- Right-click the mature Moa with a leather saddle to equip the bird for direct player riding.
- Different egg varieties produce Moa breeds with distinct aerial jump counts and plumage colors:
