Akashic Tome: One Book for Every Mod's Manual
Akashic Tome collapses a shelf of in-game guidebooks into a single item. This guide covers what it registers and why it is so small.
One item, one recipe
1 page, 1 item, 1 crafting recipe — identical on both builds. There is no tier, no upgrade, no block and no structure.
The recipe list being a single entry is the entire mod, and that is not a limitation: the tome's value is what it *absorbs*, not what it is made of.
Why a mod like this exists
A heavily modded pack can easily include a dozen in-game manuals — Patchouli books, Modonomicons, machine guides. Each is an item taking an inventory slot, and none of them stack.
The tome consolidates them. That is a quality-of-life change whose usefulness scales with pack size rather than with anything in this mod's own registry.
It has no dependency, but it needs company
Nothing breaks if you install it alone; it simply has nothing to hold. The mod is only worth adding to a pack that already ships several guidebooks — which, on this wiki, is common: nineteen of the mods covered here carry their own in-game manual.
Both builds are the same
1.8-30 on NeoForge (1.21.1) and 1.7-27 on Forge (1.20.1), each with the same single recipe. Nothing about the mod differs between Minecraft lines.
No worldgen, no blocks
The mod generates no structures and registers no blocks. It occupies no space in a base, changes no terrain, and can be added to or removed from a world at any point.
Where to start
Craft it once and put every manual you own into it. There is no second step and no progression — this is a mod you set up in a minute and then stop thinking about.
Judging it by page count
One page on this wiki looks like nothing. For a utility mod that is the correct measure of its registry and a poor measure of its usefulness: the tome's job is to reduce clutter created by *other* mods, so its own footprint being tiny is the point rather than a shortcoming.
