Wool Variants and Dyeing

This guide covers all colored sofas, stools, lamps, and curtains that use wool variants in the Another Furniture mod. Each furniture type comes in a white version and can be recolored using the appropriate dye. The colored versions can also be crafted directly from wool, oak planks, and sticks.

Sofas

Sofas are comfortable seating blocks that come in several wool colors. The standard sofa recipe uses two oak planks, three blocks of the matching wool color, and two sticks. For example, the Light Blue Sofa requires two oak planks, three light blue wool, and two sticks in a shaped crafting pattern. The Light Gray Sofa follows the same recipe but with light gray wool.

If you already have a white sofa, you can recolor it without using wool. Simply combine the white sofa with the corresponding dye in a shapeless crafting grid. For instance, adding light blue dye to a white sofa produces a Light Blue Sofa, and light gray dye turns a white sofa into a Light Gray Sofa. This dye method works for any sofa color available in the mod.

Stools

Stools are smaller seating blocks with two distinct heights. The regular stool recipe calls for two oak planks, one wool block of the chosen color, and two sticks. The Light Blue Stool uses light blue wool, while the Light Gray Stool uses light gray wool. Each follows the same shaped pattern with its specific wool color.

The tall stool variant requires a taller build. Its recipe uses two oak planks, one wool block, and five sticks in a shaped pattern. The Light Blue Tall Stool and Light Gray Tall Stool are made this way. As with regular stools, you can also recolor existing white versions. A shapeless recipe combining light blue dye with a white tall stool yields a Light Blue Tall Stool, and the same applies for light gray dye with a white tall stool to make a Light Gray Tall Stool.

Dyeing White Furniture

The dyeing mechanic is consistent across all furniture types in this mod. For every colored sofa, stool, tall stool, lamp, or curtain, there is a white base version. To change its color, place the white furniture piece and the matching dye in a crafting grid together. The order does not matter, and the result is the colored furniture item.

This method is especially useful if you have spare white furniture from earlier crafting. It saves wool and sticks, since you only need the dye to transform an existing piece. The dyeing recipes work for all wool-based colors, not just light blue and light gray. Each color has its own corresponding dye that matches the wool shade.

Crafting Materials

All furniture recipes in this category share common base materials. Oak planks form the structural frame for sofas and stools. Sticks provide the legs or supports, with taller pieces needing more sticks. Wool blocks determine the upholstery color and are used in the direct crafting recipes.

The number of wool blocks varies by furniture type. Sofas need three wool blocks because they are longer seating pieces. Regular stools and tall stools each need only one wool block. The shaped recipes require precise placement, so follow the pattern exactly when crafting from raw materials.
