Decorative Blocks Guide for Another Furniture: Flower Boxes, Shelves, Shutters, and Service Bell
This guide covers the Oak Flower Box, Dark Oak Shelf, Dark Oak Shutter, and Service Bell for decoration in Another Furniture.
Oak Flower Box
The
Oak Flower Box is a decorative container that uses a blend of wood and soil materials in its recipe. To craft one, you will need two Oak Slabs, one Dirt block, and three Oak Planks.
Arrange the three Oak Planks across the bottom row of the crafting grid. Place the two Oak Slabs in the left and right slots of the middle row, and put the Dirt block in the center slot. This produces one Oak Flower Box, which you can place on a surface to hold flowers or other small plants as a visual accent.
Dark Oak Shelf
The
Dark Oak Shelf provides a simple wooden ledge for displaying items. Its crafting recipe calls for three Dark Oak Planks and one Stick.
Place the three Dark Oak Planks in a horizontal line across the top row of the crafting grid. Then put the Stick directly beneath the center plank in the middle row. This yields one Dark Oak Shelf, suitable for mounting on a wall to hold decorative objects or to break up a flat surface.
Dark Oak Shutter
The
Dark Oak Shutter is a functional-looking window covering made entirely from dark wood. You will need six Dark Oak Slabs to craft it.
Arrange all six Dark Oak Slabs in two full horizontal rows, filling the top and middle rows of the crafting grid. Leave the bottom row empty. This produces one Dark Oak Shutter, which you can attach beside windows or use as a decorative panel on exterior walls.
Service Bell
The
Service Bell is a metal accent piece for counters or tables. Its crafting recipe requires one Iron Nugget and three Iron Ingots.
Place the Iron Nugget in the very center slot of the crafting grid. Then put the three Iron Ingots in the top-left, top-center, and top-right slots, forming a row above the nugget. This arrangement creates one Service Bell, which you can set on a desk or shop counter to suggest a place for customers to call for attention.
Additional Note on the Oak Bench
While not the main focus here, the
Oak Bench shares a similar crafting style with these decorative blocks. It uses three Sticks and three Oak Slabs. Place the three Oak Slabs in a horizontal row across the bottom of the grid, and put the three Sticks in a vertical column down the center. This makes a simple seating piece that pairs well with the other wooden decorations above.
The Hammer as a Tool
The
Hammer is a tool item that appears in the same crafting family. To make one, gather two Oak Planks, one Oak Slab, and two Sticks. Arrange the two Sticks vertically in the center column, with one Oak Plank on each side of the top stick. Then place the Oak Slab at the very bottom of the center column. The result is a Hammer, which you may use for building or adjusting other furniture pieces.
Placement Ideas
- Use the
Oak Flower Box on window sills or fence tops to add greenery without taking up floor space. - Mount Dark Oak Shelves in pairs above a desk or bed for symmetric storage display.
- Fit
Dark Oak Shutters on the outside of builds to give windows a finished, closed look. - Set a
Service Bell on a front desk, market stall, or kitchen counter to imply a functional call point.
All of these items are crafted with basic wood and metal materials, so they fit naturally into early-game building projects. Their recipes are straightforward and require no special tools or rare ingredients.
