Armageddon Armor Sets and Smithing Upgrades Guide
Helionite Armor
The
Helionite Chestplate,
Helionite Helmet, and
Helionite Leggings are high-tier armor pieces obtained through smithing transformations. Each piece requires a Smithing Template, a base armor item, and a
Helionite Ingot as the upgrade material.
- To craft the
Helionite Chestplate, combine a Smithing Template with a Netherite Chestplate and a Helionite Ingot. - To craft the
Helionite Leggings, combine a Smithing Template with Netherite Leggings and a Helionite Ingot. - The
Helionite Helmet has two possible upgrade paths. You can combine a Smithing Template with a Netherite Helmet and a Helionite Ingot, or you can combine a Smithing Template with
Zoranth's Helmet and a Helionite Ingot. Both methods produce the same Helionite Helmet.
Calamitous Armor
The
Calamitous Chestplate,
Calamitous Leggings, and
Calamitous Helmet form another armor set, but they use a different base material and upgrade component. Instead of Netherite and Helionite Ingots, these pieces are built from Elvenite armor and a
Calamitous Core.
- To craft the
Calamitous Chestplate, combine a Smithing Template with an Elvenite Chestplate and a Calamitous Core. - To craft the
Calamitous Leggings, combine a Smithing Template with Elvenite Leggings and a Calamitous Core. - To craft the
Calamitous Helmet, combine a Smithing Template with an Elvenite Helmet and a Calamitous Core.
Upgrade Materials and Templates
All six armor pieces rely on the same smithing mechanic. You will need a Smithing Template for every single transformation—no piece can be upgraded without one. The template is consumed in the process, so gather enough templates if you plan to craft multiple pieces.
The two upgrade materials are distinct and not interchangeable.
Helionite Ingots are used exclusively for the Helionite set, while
Calamitous Cores are used exclusively for the Calamitous set. You cannot mix a Helionite Ingot with Elvenite armor, nor can you use a Calamitous Core on Netherite gear.
Base Armor Requirements
Before you can perform any upgrade, you must already possess the correct base armor piece. For the Helionite set, the standard starting point is Netherite armor. The exception is the Helionite Helmet, which also accepts
Zoranth's Helmet as an alternative base. For the Calamitous set, you must start with Elvenite armor.
Note that the facts do not specify whether Elvenite armor is obtained through crafting, loot, or another method. They only state that it serves as the base for Calamitous upgrades. Likewise, the origin of Zoranth's Helmet, Helionite Ingots, and Calamitous Cores is not described here—only their role in the smithing recipes.
Practical Tips
- Check your inventory before starting: you need the template, the correct base piece, and the matching upgrade material.
- If you have both a Netherite Helmet and a Zoranth's Helmet, either can become a Helionite Helmet. Choose whichever base you have available or prefer to spare.
- The Calamitous set has no alternative base paths listed. You must use Elvenite pieces for all three slots.
- There are no boots mentioned for either the Helionite or Calamitous sets in the available information. Only chestplate, helmet, and leggings recipes are documented.
