AstikorCarts Redux Carts: The Recipe List Is the Mod

guide

This guide covers how AstikorCarts Redux is structured and what its perfectly even numbers mean in practice.

A one-to-one mod

67 items and 67 crafting recipes. Every item has exactly one recipe and every recipe makes exactly one item. There is no smelting step, no stonecutting, no smithing and no bespoke bench.

Mods this evenly balanced are rare, and the shape tells you everything: nothing is gated, nothing upgrades into anything else, and the only cost is materials.

Nothing is placed

Zero blocks. Carts exist as entities summoned from an item, so the mod registers nothing that occupies a block position. Practically, that means it needs no room in a base, no power, and no infrastructure of any kind.

The version numbering is inverted

The 1.21.1 build is 1.2.4 and the 1.20.1 build is 1.2.5 — the older Minecraft line is a patch ahead. Both carry the same 67 recipes, so there is no content difference, but a fix present in 1.2.5 may not yet be in the 1.21.1 build.

The loaders differ too: NeoForge on 1.21.1, Forge on 1.20.1.

No progression to plan

There are no worldgen structures, no unlocks and no tiers. Every cart is available from the first crafting table given its materials, so the mod is a set of options rather than a ladder.

How to choose

Because there is no upgrade path between carts, picking one is a decision rather than a step. Match the cart to the job — the difference between them is what they carry and how they attach, not how good they are.

Why the item count is high

Sixty-seven items for a cart mod implies variants: carts, their attachments and the pieces that connect them, likely repeated across wood or material types. That is the same pattern that inflates furniture mods, and it means learning one cart teaches you the shape of the rest.

Fits anywhere

Vanilla recipe types only, no blocks, no terrain changes. This is one of the safest mods on this wiki to add to a world already in progress.
