AstikorCarts Redux: Sixty-Seven Items, Zero Blocks
AstikorCarts Redux adds animal-drawn carts. This guide covers what it contains and one oddity in its version numbering.
Every page is an item
67 pages, 67 items, and no blocks at all. A cart is an entity you place from an item and then hitch — it never becomes a block — so the mod registers nothing placeable.
That also means it adds no machine, no station and no terrain. It cannot conflict with a base layout or occupy space.
One recipe per item
67 crafting recipes, exactly matching the 67 items, and identical on both builds. One recipe per item with no alternates, no upgrades and no processing chain.
For a player that makes the recipe list the complete mod — there is nothing hidden behind a bench you have not built, because there is no bench.
The older line carries the newer patch
This is worth a second look. The 1.21.1 build is 1.2.4 on NeoForge; the 1.20.1 build is 1.2.5 on Forge.
The 1.20.1 line is one patch *ahead*. That reverses the usual assumption that the newer Minecraft version has the newer mod, and it means a bug fixed in 1.2.5 may still be present on 1.21.1.
Despite that, both register the same 67 recipes, so there is no content difference.
No structures, no gating
The mod generates no worldgen structures and unlocks nothing. Every cart is available as soon as you can afford its materials.
Where to start
Read the recipe list once — at 67 entries it is short — and build the cart that matches what you actually move. Since there is no upgrade path, a cart is a one-way spend rather than a step toward a better one.
What it pairs with
A mod that adds only items, defines only vanilla crafting and generates no terrain is close to conflict-proof, so it drops into an existing world safely and can be removed again leaving only the items behind.
Why the item count is what it is
Sixty-seven items for a cart mod means variants rather than sixty-seven different vehicles — carts, the pieces that attach to them, and most likely a repeat across wood or material types. That is the same multiplication that inflates furniture mods, and it means learning one cart's recipe shape teaches you most of the list.
What to check before installing
Nothing. The mod adds no blocks, no terrain, no recipe types of its own and no dependency. It is about as inert as a mod can be while still adding content, so it drops into an existing world and comes back out cleanly.
The version oddity, restated
1.2.4 on 1.21.1, 1.2.5 on 1.20.1. If you hit a bug on the newer line, check whether it was fixed in 1.2.5 before assuming it is unreported — the older Minecraft version is running the later mod patch here.
