ATi Structures: 55 Builds and What Their Spacing Means

guide

ATi Structures adds 55 structures and nothing else — no items, no blocks, no recipes. This guide covers what generates and how the placement settings shape a world.

A pure worldgen mod

The mod registers no items, no blocks and no recipes at all. Everything it contributes is terrain: 55 structures, of which 46 generate on the surface and 9 underground.

That means there is nothing to craft, nothing to unlock and no progression to follow. You install it and the world contains more places.

Separation is doing something unusual here

Most mods set a separation well below their spacing, which lets structures cluster occasionally. ATi Structures does the opposite in its rarest tiers:

  • Spacing 111, separation 99 — Ancient Vessel, Gnome Hut and Warden Monument
  • Spacing 70, separation 69 — twenty-two builds including Ancient Temple, Castillo, Catalonian Castle, Herobrine Stronghold, Granite Fort, Jungle Settlement and Manor

When separation nearly equals spacing, structures are forced almost into a grid: they are rare, but they are also spread very evenly. You will not find two Ancient Temples near each other, and you will not cross a huge region with none at all.

And two tiers do the exact opposite

  • Spacing 55, separation 3 — Dark Keep, Dark Tower, Dojo, Illager Tower, Lighthouse, Monastery Tower, Mosque, Overgrown Outpost, Small Keep and Wither Keep
  • Spacing 33, separation 1 — twelve builds including Deepslate Keep, Haunted Ruin, Ice Tribe, Illager Homestead, Mud Tower, Nomadic Camp, Old Home, Storage House and Stray Ruins

A separation of 1 or 3 against those spacings means these can generate almost adjacent. Expect them in clumps: long stretches with nothing, then two or three close together.

The underground set

Nine structures generate below the surface. Five share a spacing of 15 with a separation of 10 — Pufferfish Cave, Sculk Deposit, Silverfish Nest, Underwater Dungeon and an underground variant of the Rotting Temple — making them the densest things in the mod. Three more sit at 35 and 20: Spider Nest, Underground Monument and Wither Cavern.

What that means in practice

Two different exploration styles come out of the same mod. The 70/69 group rewards steady travel in any direction, because they are evenly distributed. The 33/1 and 55/3 groups reward searching thoroughly once you find one, because their near-zero separation means a neighbour may be very close.

Versions

1.4.5 on NeoForge for both 1.21.1 and 1.20.1 — the same build number on each line, and the same 55 structures.
