Automobility Assembly: Why 84% of It Is at One Table
Automobility assembly is mostly a question of where you stand: the overwhelming majority of the mod's recipes live at a single station, the 
Auto Mechanic Table. The Auto Mechanic Table holds 63 recipes, while the separate Crafting grid holds only 12. That split is the whole shape of the mod. If you learn one workstation, you have learned almost everything.
Getting the Auto Mechanic Table
The Auto Mechanic Table is not free. You build it in the Crafting grid from 
Copper Ingot x2 and 
Cobblestone x2. The Crafting grid also produces the 
Automobile Assembler from Copper Ingot x3 and Cobblestone x4, plus a set of road and utility blocks: 
Dirt Off Road, 
Grass Off Road, 
Sand Off Road, 
Snow Off Road, 
Launch Gel, 
Slope, and 
Steep Slope.
What the Auto Mechanic Table Actually Builds
Three parts form the core of a car: the Automobile Engine, the Automobile Frame, and the Automobile Wheel. Every one of them comes from the Auto Mechanic Table, and each has several competing recipes.
The Automobile Engine accepts five different ingredient sets. A cheap route uses Copper Ingot x2, a 
Furnace, 
Coal, and an 
Iron Nugget. A wood route uses 
Dark Oak Log x2, Coal, a Furnace, and Cobblestone. Richer routes add 
Diamond x2 with a Furnace, 
Block of Redstone, and 
Obsidian; or 
Gold Ingot with a Furnace, Block of Redstone, 
Block of Gold, and 
Iron Ingot; or Iron Ingot with a Furnace, Block of Redstone, 
Block of Iron, and Cobblestone.
The Automobile Frame is where the recipe list explodes. It has a dye family: Iron Ingot x2, 
Block of Copper, one dye, 
Leather, and 
Calcite — with 
Black Dye, 
Blue Dye, 
Brown Dye, 
Cyan Dye, 
Gray Dye, 
Green Dye, or 
Light Blue Dye each giving a version. Separate frames use Iron Ingot with Block of Copper, Cobblestone, a dye, and 
Iron Bars, again in several dye colors. Others are built from 
Redstone Dust, Cobblestone, Leather, and combinations such as 
Block of Diamond with Obsidian and Iron Ingot; Copper Ingot x2 with 
Oak Planks and Block of Copper; Dark Oak Log with Block of Gold x2, 
Nether Brick, and Gold Ingot;

The Automobile Wheel is far simpler. Options include Obsidian x2 with Diamond; Oak Planks x2 with a 
Stick; Nether Brick x2 with Gold Ingot; 
Black Wool x2 with Block of Iron; Dark Oak Log x2 with Copper Ingot; or Black Wool with an Iron Nugget.
The Front Attachment also belongs to the Auto Mechanic Table. Its recipes include Iron Ingot x2, Gold Ingot, Copper Ingot, 
Emerald, Redstone Dust, and 
Prismarine Crystals; Stick x2, Cobblestone x2, Gold Ingot x2, and Copper Ingot; Stick x2, Oak Planks x2, Iron Ingot x2, and Iron Nugget; and 
Flint x2, Gold Ingot, Copper Ingot, Emerald, Redstone Dust, and Iron Nugget.
The Small Crafting Grid
The 12 Crafting recipes are the exception, not the rule. Besides the Auto Mechanic Table and Automobile Assembler, they cover the 
Crowbar from Copper Ingot and Iron Ingot; the 
Autopilot Sign x6 from Iron Ingot x4, Emerald, Redstone Dust, and Iron Bars; the 
Dash Panel x2 from Iron Ingot x6, 
Glow Ink Sac, Redstone Dust, and Blaze Powder; and the road blocks listed earlier.
The Practical Takeaway
Plan around the Auto Mechanic Table. Gather Iron Ingot, Copper Ingot, Cobblestone, Redstone Dust, Leather, and a few dyes, and you can reach most of the engine, frame, wheel, and Front Attachment recipes without touching the Crafting grid again.
