BetterNether Biomes Overview: Climates and What to Expect

guide

BetterNether biomes overview covers six distinct regions, each sharing the same harsh climate but offering a different landscape to explore. Every biome listed here is hot, with a temperature of 2.0, and none of them receive rain. That means you should prepare for dry, sweltering conditions no matter which region you enter.

Shared Climate

Before looking at individual biomes, it helps to understand what they have in common. All six regions sit at a temperature of 2.0, placing them firmly in the hot category. Rain never falls in any of them. This uniform climate shapes what you can expect from the environment and from the creatures that live there.

Shared Spawns

The same mob roster appears across all six biomes. This makes travel between regions more predictable, since you will not encounter a completely different set of threats when crossing from one to another.

Monsters that can spawn in every biome:

  • Ghast
  • Zombified Piglin
  • Magma Cube
  • Skull
  • Enderman
  • Piglin

Creatures that can spawn in every biome:

  • Strider

Because the spawn list is identical everywhere, the main difference between these biomes is the terrain and scenery rather than the danger level.

The Biomes

Bone Reef

Bone Reef is one of the six hot, rainless regions. Like the others, it hosts the full set of monsters listed above along with Striders as the local creature. Expect the same spawn behavior here as anywhere else in this group.

Crimson Glowing Woods

Crimson Glowing Woods shares the hot, dry climate of the other biomes. The same monsters appear, and Striders are the creature you can run into. The glowing character of the woods sets it apart visually, but the climate and spawns remain consistent with the rest.

Crimson Pinewood

Crimson Pinewood follows the same pattern: temperature 2.0, no rain, and the standard monster and creature spawns. Ghasts, Zombified Piglins, Magma Cubes, Skulls, Endermen, and Piglins can all appear, with Striders as the creature spawn.

Flooded Deltas

Flooded Deltas is another hot, rainless biome. It carries the identical spawn table, meaning the same six monsters and the single creature type are present. Despite the name suggesting water, the climate facts remain the same as every other biome here.

Gravel Desert

Gravel Desert matches the group in climate and spawns. It is hot, receives no rain, and supports the full monster list plus Striders. Nothing about its spawn behavior differs from the other five regions.

Magma Land

Magma Land completes the set. It is hot with a temperature of 2.0 and no rainfall. The same monsters and the same creature spawn here as in every other biome covered in this guide.

What This Means for You

Since all six biomes share one climate and one spawn table, your preparation does not need to change much from region to region. Bring gear suited to hot, dry conditions, and be ready for the same set of hostile mobs wherever you go. Striders are the one creature you can count on seeing across all of them.

The variety in BetterNether comes from the look and feel of each biome rather than from different mechanics. Bone Reef, Crimson Glowing Woods, Crimson Pinewood, Flooded Deltas, Gravel Desert, and Magma Land each present their own scenery, but the underlying rules stay the same: hot, rainless, and populated by the same monsters and creatures. Knowing this lets you move between them without relearning the environment each time.
