Crafting and Using Big Oak Planks and Big Wet Oak Planks

guide

This guide details the crafting processes for Big Oak Planks and their wet variant, Big Wet Oak Planks, along with their basic uses.

Big Oak Planks

To craft Big Oak Planks, you must first acquire Pile of Planks. Four Pile of Planks are combined to create a single Big Oak Planks.

Big Oak Planks are used in two crafting recipes:

Big Wet Oak Planks

Big Wet Oak Planks are crafted by combining eight Big Oak Planks with a Water Bucket. The facts do not state any further uses for Big Wet Oak Planks.

Pile of Planks

Pile of Planks serves as an intermediary crafting component. It is created by combining three Big Oak Planks. Four Pile of Planks are then used to craft one Big Oak Planks. The facts do not state any further uses for Pile of Planks.

Where these blocks sit in the mod

Bosses'Rise is 86 pages across 46 items and 40 blocks, built on 31 crafting recipes and 8 stonecutting recipes. The block half of that is largely building material won from the mod's five boss structures, which is why plank and decoration blocks appear in a mod named after bosses.

The five structures that supply them

Each structure has its own spacing, and the range is wide:

A dragon tower at spacing 96 is placed roughly a third as often as a yeti hideout, so material from it is correspondingly scarce.

Stonecutting is the multiplier

Only 8 stonecutting recipes exist, but they are what turn a single block type into a usable set. Carrying a stonecutter to a cleared structure is more efficient than hauling raw blocks home and cutting them later.

Version parity

Both builds are 2.1.2 and carry identical recipe counts, so nothing here is version-specific.
