Botany Pots: Compact Automated Farming
Botany Pots adds a single versatile block, the Botany Pot, that grows crops for decoration and easy farming. This guide covers how to use it.
The Botany Pot
The 
Botany Pot grows all kinds of crops in a compact block. Place a soil and a seed in the pot and it grows the crop, which you harvest by hand — and harvesting automatically replants the seed, so a pot keeps producing without resetting it. Pots come in seventeen colors for decoration.
Automation
For hands-off farming, the 
Hopper Botany Pot upgrade lets the pot harvest itself and push the produce into a chest or other inventory below or beside it. A wall of hopper pots becomes a fully automatic crop farm in a small footprint, ideal where space is tight.
Crops, soils and fertilizers
Botany Pots supports crops, soils and fertilizers through datapacks and CraftTweaker, so modpacks can add or modify what pots can grow. Out of the box it handles a wide range of plants; with the right soil and an optional fertilizer to speed growth, a few pots cover most of your farming needs in a decorative, compact form.
