Building But Better Blocks: What the Stonecutter Covers
The 
Stonecutter is the main workstation for the decorative block set added by Building But Better, and it handles the largest share of the mod's block variants. The Crafting table still carries most of the wood families, but when you want layers, columns, mouldings, or urns from stone-type materials, the Stonecutter is where you go.
Stonecutter Recipes
The Stonecutter covers 92 recipes in total. Most of them follow a simple pattern: one raw or vanilla block in, one decorative variant out.
Stone materials convert into thin layers:

Deepslate is the busiest family here. Cobbled Deepslate feeds several different outputs:

Deepslate itself produces 
Deepslate Block and Deepslate Moulding, while

Blackstone gets similar treatment. A single 
Blackstone block can become a 
Blackstone Block, 
Blackstone Column, 
Blackstone Fence, 
Blackstone Layer, 
Blackstone Moulding, or 
Blackstone Urn, depending on which recipe you pick.
Crafting Recipes
The Crafting table holds 255 recipes. The wood families are built here rather than at the Stonecutter, and acacia and bamboo are good examples of how the sets are structured.
Acacia pieces start from 
Stripped Acacia Log. Three of them make either 
Acacia Balustrade or 
Acacia Beam. From there, Acacia Beam breaks down into 
Acacia Beam Slab or 
Acacia Beam Stairs, or back into 
Acacia Planks. 
Acacia Slab combines with 
Stick for 
Acacia Frame, with 
Torch for 
Acacia Lantern, or on its own for 
Acacia Layer. Stick and Acacia Planks together produce 
Acacia Ladder, 
Acacia Lattice, 
Acacia Pallet, or 
Acacia Support. Acacia Planks alone make 
Acacia Trim, and Stripped Acacia Log makes 
Acacia Wall.
Bamboo follows the same shape. 
Block of Stripped Bamboo becomes 
Bamboo Balustrade or 
Bamboo Beam. Bamboo Beam then yields 
Bamboo Beam Slab or 
Bamboo Beam Stairs. 
Bamboo Slab pairs with Stick for 
Bamboo Frame, with Torch for 
Bamboo Lantern, or becomes

Tools and Utility Blocks
A few standalone recipes round out the set. The 
Chisel is made from 
Copper Ingot and Stick. The 
Hammer needs Copper Ingot, 
Block of Copper, and Stick. Three 
String make 
Rope. For light sources, a 
Campfire plus 
Iron Ingot gives a 
Brazier, and a 
Soul Campfire plus Iron Ingot gives a 
Soul Brazier.
Smelting
Only one recipe lives in the Smelting category: 
Smooth Stone into
