Crafting Spellbooks, Staffs, and Magical Manuscripts
Crafting spellbooks, staffs, and magical manuscripts in Cataclysm: Spellbooks relies on a handful of distinct recipes, each tied to its own set of ingredients. Some items come from a crafting table, while others require a smithing table or a special transformation. The sections below cover each recipe as it is known.
Book o' R'lyeh
The 
Book o' R'lyeh is not made at a crafting table. It is produced through a transformation called Amethyst Bless, which turns a 
Ruined Book into the Book o' R'lyeh. If you have a Ruined Book on hand, the Amethyst Bless process is what converts it into this spellbook.
Ignis Spellbook
The 
Ignis Spellbook is created with a Smithing Transform at a smithing table. The transform combines three inputs: a 
Smithing Template, a 
Blaze Instruction Manual, and an 
Ignitium Ingot. Place these together in the smithing interface to produce the Ignis Spellbook.
Codex of Malice
The 
Codex of Malice also uses a Smithing Transform. Its recipe takes a 
cursium_upgrade_smithing_template, a 
Frostbranded Book, and a 
Cursium Ingot. Combining those three through the smithing transform yields the Codex of Malice.
Bloom Stone Staff
The 
Bloom Stone Staff is made with a shaped crafting recipe. It requires two 
Amethyst Crab Shell, one 
Amethyst Shard, and two 
Stone. Arrange these ingredients in the correct shaped pattern at a crafting table to craft the staff.
Coral Staff
The 
Coral Staff uses a shaped crafting recipe as well. Its ingredients are three 
Crystallized Coral and two 
Coral Chunk. Set them in the proper shaped arrangement to produce the Coral Staff.
Amber Staff
The 
Amber Staff is the last of the shaped crafting recipes here. It calls for two 
Ancient Metal Ingot, one 
Ancient Amber, and two 
Koboleton Bone. Lay these out in the correct pattern at a crafting table to make the Amber Staff.

Two of the entries above are spellbooks handled through a smithing table, one is a spellbook made by transforming a Ruined Book, and three are staffs assembled through shaped crafting. Gathering the right materials before you start will save you a trip back to storage, since the smithing recipes in particular need specific templates and ingots alongside their book or manual component.
