Crucible Smelting and Coin Casting Molds in ChangShengJue
Crucible metal casting allows metalworkers to melt raw ingots into liquid alloys and cast historical currency and precious bullions in ChangShengJue. Casting metal coins and trade bars establishes an authentic commerce system while unlocking materials for high-tier armor forging.
Crafting the Crucible
The foundation of high-temperature metallurgy begins with the iron crucible. In a crafting table, arranging 5 iron ingots in a U-shape pattern (two in the left column, two in the right column, and one in the bottom center) crafts one
Crucible.
Once fabricated, the empty crucible must be charged with metal ingots:
- Combining one
Crucible with 8 copper ingots in a crafting grid creates one
Crucible (Crushed Copper Pieces). - Combining one
Crucible with 8 gold ingots yields one
Crucible (Crushed Gold Pieces). - Combining one
Crucible with 8 silver ingots produces one
Crucible (Crushed Silver Pieces).
Smelting Liquid Metal Alloys
Crushed metal fragments inside a crucible cannot be poured at ambient temperatures. To liquefy the metal, the charged crucible must be heated in a furnace or blast furnace.
- Smelting or blasting a
Crucible (Crushed Copper Pieces) melts the contents into a
Crucible (Liquid Copper). - Blasting a
Crucible (Crushed Gold Pieces) yields a glowing
Crucible (Liquid Gold). - Blasting a
Crucible (Crushed Silver Pieces) produces a
Crucible (Liquid Silver).
Care should be taken when managing hot crucibles, as liquid metal charges represent substantial investments of raw ingots.
Crafting Casting Molds and Pouring Metals
Pouring molten metals into finished currency and trade bars requires specialized sand casting molds:
- Fabricating a
Copper Coin Mold requires 4 iron ingots placed in the grid corners and 5 sand blocks filling the center and cross slots. - Fabricating a
Bullions Casting Mold requires 4 diamonds in the grid corners and 5 sand blocks filling the center and cross slots.
To cast items, place the desired mold block onto the ground. Holding a crucible of molten metal in the main hand and right-clicking the placed mold pours the liquid into the form:
- Pouring a
Crucible (Liquid Copper) into a
Copper Coin Mold casts round copper currency known as
Ancient Coin. - Pouring molten gold or silver into a
Bullions Casting Mold casts dense trade bullions.
Once gathered, combining 7
Ancient Coin items in a crafting grid strings them together into
A String of Ancient Coin, condensing loose change for convenient trade storage.
