CIT Resewn Guide: Enable the Mod, Learn Its Settings, and Find Its Configuration
CIT Resewn is a Minecraft utility mod that reads custom item textures from resource packs and applies them to your items. This guide explains what the mod does, how to switch it on, and where its options are located.
What CIT Resewn Does
CIT Resewn loads and injects CITs from resource packs. In plain terms, it takes the custom item texture definitions bundled inside a resource pack and applies them in-game, so items can display the alternate appearances a pack author designed. Nothing is crafted or built through an in-game recipe — the mod works in the background once it is active and a suitable pack is present.
Turning It On
The mod's main switch lives in its configuration screen under the heading CIT Resewn Configuration. The toggle there is labelled with the description that it controls whether CIT Resewn loads and injects cits from resource packs. Flip that option on to activate the feature; flip it off to stop the mod from reading packs entirely.
Because the mod runs through its own interface rather than a crafting grid, there is no item to make and no recipe to follow. You simply enable the option and supply resource packs as usual.
Where the Settings Live
All options sit together in the CIT Resewn Configuration screen. Beyond the main on/off toggle, you will find:
- Mute loading errors — stops CIT Resewn from logging cit errors.
- Mute loading warnings — stops CIT Resewn from logging cit warnings.
- Allow broken paths in resourcepacks — permits packs that contain illegal resource paths to load. The screen warns that this may cause issues.
- A cache refresh setting, described as controlling how often the cit cache is refreshed.
Each of these is a simple toggle or value you change directly in the configuration interface. There are no hidden menus or sub-screens implied by the options themselves.
The Cache Refresh Option
The cache refresh setting determines how frequently the cit cache is rebuilt. The description explains the trade-off clearly: a higher value improves performance, while a lower value makes cits update more quickly. There is also a REALTIME choice, which removes the cache altogether so that items check for cits on every frame. Choose a higher value if you want smoother performance, a lower value if you want texture changes to appear promptly, or REALTIME if you want the most immediate updates and can accept the cost.
Broken Path Warnings
If a resource pack contains broken paths, the configuration screen shows a notice that the pack has broken paths and that support for it may be dropped later. The notice asks you to contact the pack author to have the warning removed, and it is signed by CIT Resewn. This is informational — it tells you the pack is not fully well-formed, and it pairs with the Allow broken paths in resourcepacks option if you decide to load such a pack anyway.
Hotkeys
The facts here do not specify any key for opening the configuration or toggling the mod. If a hotkey exists for reaching the interface, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu rather than assuming a default.
Quick Recap
Enable the mod through the CIT Resewn Configuration toggle so it can load cits from resource packs. Use Mute loading errors and Mute loading warnings to quiet log output, Allow broken paths in resourcepacks to load imperfect packs at your own risk, and the cache refresh setting to balance performance against update speed. Everything is handled in the configuration screen — no crafting required.
