Classic Pipes Networked Pipe Guide: Routing, Requesting, Providing, Stocking, and Storage
The networked pipe family in Classic Pipes covers routing, requesting, providing, stocking, and storage pipes, and every member of the family shares the same basic recipe shape. Each pipe is crafted from 
Block of Quartz x2 and 
Tinted Glass, with one extra ingredient deciding which role the pipe takes on. Because the recipes are shaped, the arrangement of ingredients in the crafting grid matters.
The Base Recipe
The 
Networked Routing Pipe is the foundation of the family. Its recipe uses Block of Quartz x2 and Tinted Glass with no additional ingredient. Every other networked pipe is either a variation on this recipe with one extra item added, or a conversion recipe built from routing pipes plus that same extra item.
Routing Pipes
The Networked Routing Pipe is crafted from Block of Quartz x2 and Tinted Glass. It is the plainest member of the family and serves as the ingredient for every conversion recipe below.
Request Pipes
The 
Networked Request Pipe can be made in three different ways:
- Block of Quartz x2 + Tinted Glass +
Gold Ingot - Networked Routing Pipe x8 + Gold Ingot
Gold Nugget x2 + Networked Routing Pipe
The third recipe is the cheapest in raw materials, since it only needs two gold nuggets alongside a single routing pipe. The eight-pipe recipe is useful when you already have a stock of routing pipes and want to convert them in bulk.
Provider Pipes
The 
Networked Provider Pipe has two recipes:
- Block of Quartz x2 + Tinted Glass +
Copper Ingot - Networked Routing Pipe x8 + Copper Ingot
Copper is the distinguishing ingredient here. As with the request pipe, you can either craft the provider pipe from scratch with quartz and tinted glass, or convert routing pipes by adding copper.
Stocking Pipes
The 
Networked Stocking Pipe also has two recipes:
- Block of Quartz x2 + Tinted Glass +
Lapis Lazuli - Networked Routing Pipe x8 + Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli sets the stocking pipe apart from the other members of the family. The same pattern applies: build it directly from quartz and tinted glass, or upgrade a batch of routing pipes with lapis.
Storage Pipes
The 
Networked Storage Pipe follows the same two-recipe structure:
- Block of Quartz x2 + Tinted Glass +
Chest - Networked Routing Pipe x8 + Chest
A chest is the extra ingredient for this pipe, which fits its storage role. Both recipes produce the same result, so choose whichever suits the materials you have on hand.
Matching Pipes
The 
Networked Matching Pipe rounds out the family with three recipes:
- Block of Quartz x2 + Tinted Glass +
Iron Ingot - Networked Routing Pipe x8 + Iron Ingot
Iron Nugget x2 + Networked Routing Pipe
Like the request pipe, the matching pipe offers a nugget-based recipe that consumes only a single routing pipe, making it a low-cost option when iron is plentiful but quartz is not.
Choosing a Recipe
Every pipe in the family can be produced from Block of Quartz x2 and Tinted Glass plus its signature ingredient. Request, stocking, storage, and matching pipes can instead be made by combining eight Networked Routing Pipe with that ingredient, and the request and matching pipes additionally accept a two-nugget recipe with a single routing pipe. If you are starting from nothing, craft routing pipes first, then convert them into the specific roles your network needs.
