Reviving Ancient Pokémon from Fossils

To revive ancient Pokémon, you must first locate fossils in the world. Fossils are found by excavating suspicious gravel or sand. These special blocks appear in specific prehistoric locations throughout the world. Once you have a fossil, you can use a resurrection machine to bring an ancient Pokémon back to life.

Prehistoric Locations

Several distinct prehistoric locations exist where you can find fossils. Each location generates in a specific biome type or near certain blocks, and each has unique generation rules regarding how far apart they can appear.

Prehistoric Birch Tree

The Prehistoric Birch Tree generates in areas containing birch_log blocks. A single Prehistoric Birch Tree will attempt to generate within every 20x20 chunk region. These trees will be placed at least 10 chunks apart from each other.

Prehistoric Dripstone Oasis

The Prehistoric Dripstone Oasis generates in dripstone biomes. One Prehistoric Dripstone Oasis will attempt to generate per 5x5 chunk region, with each oasis appearing at least 3 chunks apart.

Prehistoric Enhydro Agate

The Prehistoric Enhydro Agate generates in lush biomes. Similar to the Dripstone Oasis, one Prehistoric Enhydro Agate will attempt to generate per 5x5 chunk region, with a minimum distance of 3 chunks between them.

Prehistoric Eroded Pillar

The Prehistoric Eroded Pillar generates in areas containing red_sand blocks. One Prehistoric Eroded Pillar will attempt to generate per 20x20 chunk region, ensuring each pillar is at least 10 chunks apart.

Prehistoric Frozen Pond

The Prehistoric Frozen Pond generates in glacial biomes. A single Prehistoric Frozen Pond will attempt to generate within every 20x20 chunk region, with at least 10 chunks separating each pond.

Prehistoric Frozen Spike

The Prehistoric Frozen Spike also generates in glacial biomes. Like the Frozen Pond, one Prehistoric Frozen Spike will attempt to generate per 20x20 chunk region, maintaining a minimum distance of 10 chunks between each spike.
