Modify Pokémon Abilities with Special Items
This guide explains how to understand and modify your Pokémon's abilities using special items. Pokémon in Cobblemon have abilities, which are special passive effects that can influence battles or other aspects of gameplay. Some Pokémon have different possible abilities, and you can change which ability your Pokémon currently has.
Ability Capsule
The 
Ability Capsule is an item used to change a Pokémon's ability. When you use an Ability Capsule on a Pokémon, its current ability will change to its alternative standard ability. This means if your Pokémon has one standard ability, it can switch to another standard ability it might possess.
Ability Patch
The 
Ability Patch is another item that modifies a Pokémon's ability. Using an Ability Patch on a Pokémon will change its ability to its alternative hidden ability. Hidden abilities are often rarer or more unique than standard abilities, providing different strategic options.
