Growing Yache Berries and Crafting Cyan Dye or Juice
Yache Berries in Cobblemon provide passive damage reduction against super-effective Ice-type attacks and can be processed into cyan dye or restorative berry juice.
Combat Effects of the Yache Berry
When held by a Pokémon, the 
Yache Berry functions as a targeted defensive consumable:
- If the holder is struck by a super-effective Ice-type attack (such as Ice Beam, Blizzard, or Triple Axel), the berry activates instantly.
- It reduces the incoming damage of that specific attack by 50%.
- Once triggered, the berry is consumed for the duration of the encounter.
This makes the Yache Berry indispensable for Pokémon with a severe 4x weakness to Ice, such as Dragonite, Garchomp, Salamence, Rayquaza, and Landorus. Surviving an otherwise lethal Ice move allows these powerful attackers to set up Dragon Dance or retaliate with devastating physical moves that turn the tide of battle.
Smelting and Processing Uses
In addition to competitive battle preparation, the Yache Berry has diverse utility applications:
Smelting into Cyan Dye
Placing a Yache Berry into a furnace, smoker, or blast furnace smelts it into 
Cyan Dye:
- 1 Yache Berry + furnace fuel -> 1 Cyan Dye
This offers an easy plant-based alternative to mixing lapis lazuli with green dye, saving valuable lapis reserves for enchanting tables.
Brewing Berry Juice
Combining two berries with a bowl in a crafting table yields 
Berry Juice:
- 2 Yache Berries (or any berry tag items) + 1
Bowl -> 1 Berry Juice
Berry Juice can be used to restore 20 HP to an injured Pokémon in the field without spending money on potions at pokémarts.
Cultivation and Harvesting
Yache Berries grow on natural berry bushes found in temperate, montane, and colder biomes:
- Right-click mature berry bushes to harvest ripe berries without breaking the bush.
- Plant harvested berries directly into farmland or fertile grass to propagate new berry trees.
- Establishing an automated berry farm with bees or bone meal ensures a continuous supply of ice-resist held items and cyan dye.
- Setting up water trenches along berry patches allows quick collecting during mass harvest runs.
- Keep extra berries stored in wooden barrels near your Pokémon training grounds for quick access before boss raids.
