Crafting and Using Anti-V to Strip Compound V Powers
Compound V gives you powers;
Anti-V takes them away. It is the mod's single counter-agent, and the recipe is a shapeless-style combination of three ingredients rather than a grid pattern you have to memorize.
What Anti-V Does
Drinking
Anti-V removes Compound V powers from whoever consumes it. That is its entire function — it is a removal tool, not a buff, not a temporary suppression, and not something that grants a lesser version of what it strips. If you have been running around with abilities you no longer want, or you need to bring someone back to baseline,
Anti-V is the item that does it.
Because it is a consumable, you need one dose per person you intend to strip. There is no area effect and no splash form described, so plan on handing a vial to each player who needs it rather than throwing something at a crowd.
The Recipe
The mod adds exactly one crafting recipe for
Anti-V, and it takes three inputs:
Compound V
Fermented Spider Eye
Glistering Melon Slice
Combine those three and the output is
Anti-V.
The interesting part is the first ingredient. You are spending a dose of
Compound V to make a dose of
Anti-V, which means the counter-agent is gated behind the very thing it undoes. You cannot mass-produce
Anti-V before you have a
Compound V supply, and every
Anti-V you craft is one
Compound V you did not drink.
The other two ingredients are ordinary vanilla items.
Fermented Spider Eye comes from crafting a
Spider Eye with
Brown Mushroom and
Sugar, and it is the same reagent vanilla uses for its own inversion recipes — a fitting choice for a substance whose whole job is to flip a status.
Glistering Melon Slice is a
Melon Slice surrounded by eight
Gold Nugget, the standard vanilla brewing ingredient. Neither is hard to obtain once you have a stable food and mob farm, so the real bottleneck on
Anti-V production is always the
Compound V itself.
Using It
Consume the
Anti-V the same way you would consume
Compound V. The powers come off the player who drinks it.
A few practical notes that follow from how the item works:
- Keep doses in reserve before you need them. Crafting
Anti-V costs a
Compound V, so if you wait until the moment someone wants their powers gone, you are spending a dose you might have wanted for yourself. - Do not carry Anti-V loosely in a shared chest. It looks like a throwaway vial and it is the only thing standing between a teammate and permanent abilities.
- Label your storage.
Compound V and
Anti-V are both drinkable and both single-use, and mixing them up costs you either your powers or your only cure.
Why You Would Want It
Powers are not always an upgrade. A player who took
Compound V on a whim, or who inherited a dose from a friend, may want their normal movement and normal combat back.
Anti-V is the only route back to that state described by the mod, and it works on any player who drinks it — including you.
The one-recipe structure also means there is no tiered or stronger version of
Anti-V to work toward. What you craft from
Compound V,
Fermented Spider Eye, and
Glistering Melon Slice is the finished product, and it does exactly one thing. Treat it as a consumable utility item: stock a few, know where they are, and spend them deliberately.
