Crafting Colored Bricks and Kiln Blasting in Create Deco
Combining vanilla bricks with mineral stone blocks produces seven tinted architectural brick varieties in Create Deco. These decorative masonry blocks expand traditional red brickwork into a complete palette of industrial, rustic, and vibrant building facades.
Crafting the Seven Colored Brick Varieties
Each specialized brick type is crafted in a standard 3x3 crafting grid by surrounding 1 specific mineral stone block with 8 vanilla Brick items. Each recipe yields 4 colored bricks:
- 8 Brick items surrounding 1
Asurine produce 4
Blue Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1
Ochrum produce 4
Dean Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1
Scorchia produce 4
Dusk Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1

Pearl Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1
Crimsite produce 4
Scarlet Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1
Scoria produce 4
Umber Bricks - 8 Brick items surrounding 1

Verdant Bricks
The resulting blocks feature distinct color profiles suited to different factory motifs. Blue Bricks and Verdant Bricks provide cool aquamarine and mossy hues for waterworks and green houses. Umber Bricks and Dusk Bricks offer dark chocolate and soot-tinted tones ideal for smelting foundries. Dean Bricks and Pearl Bricks supply warm ochre and pale cream masonry for office interiors and classical town halls.
Blasting and Kiln Firing for Cracked Masonry
Builders can weather their factory facades by firing finished bricks in a furnace or blast furnace. Smelting or blasting any colored brick block produces its cracked counterpart:

Cracked Red Bricks
Blasting operates at twice the speed of standard furnace smelting. Mixing cracked blocks randomly into pristine brick walls creates realistic stress fracturing, chimney soot weathering, and age gradients on older factory structures.
Architectural Shapes and Stonecutting
All colored brick variants can be shaped into complete architectural element sets using either crafting tables or a stonecutter.
Using a stonecutter is the most flexible approach for single-block detailing. Inserting 1 colored brick block into a stonecutter allows direct 1:1 conversion into matching slabs, stairs, walls, Short Bricks, Long Bricks, Tiled Bricks, and Corner Bricks. These specialized brick bond patterns allow builders to detail corners, lintels, roof trims, and foundation courses without seam misalignment across building facades.
