Minting Metal Coins and Currency Stacks in Create Deco
Pressing metal nuggets beneath a mechanical press produces physical currency coins in Create Deco. These minted coins provide survival servers and single-player economies with dedicated, stackable coinage across seven metal grades without requiring third-party currency plugins.
Minting Coins from Metal Nuggets
Every coin in Create Deco begins as a single metallic nugget. The mod supports seven distinct currency materials:
Brass Coin pressed from a Brass Nugget
Copper Coin pressed from a Copper Nugget
Gold Coin pressed from a Gold Nugget
Industrial Iron Coin pressed from an Industrial Iron Nugget
Iron Coin pressed from an Iron Nugget
Netherite Coin pressed from a Netherite Nugget
Zinc Coin pressed from a Zinc Nugget
To automate coin production, place a mechanical press above a depot or conveyor belt. Supplying rotational kinetic power to the press activates the stamp. When a nugget travels underneath the press, the mechanical stamper descends once and flattens the nugget into 1 coin of that metal type. Conveyor belts can channel finished coins directly into vaults, storage chests, or trading counters.
Crafting and Storing Coin Stacks
Handling large transactions with individual coins quickly fills player inventory slots. To make bulk commerce practical, players can bind loose coins into compact stack blocks.
Placing 4 matching coins into a 2x2 square in any crafting grid forms 1 coin stack block:
- 4 Brass Coins craft 1
Brass Coin Stack - 4 Copper Coins craft 1
Copper Coin Stack - 4 Gold Coins craft 1
Gold Coin Stack - 4 Industrial Iron Coins craft 1
Industrial Iron Coin Stack - 4 Iron Coins craft 1
Iron Coin Stack - 4 Netherite Coins craft 1
Netherite Coin Stack - 4 Zinc Coins craft 1
Zinc Coin Stack
Stacking is completely reversible. Placing 1 coin stack into any crafting grid square uncrafts the bundle back into 4 individual coins, making it simple to break down high-value currency when exact change is required.
Placing Layered Piles and Breaking Physics
Coin stacks can be placed directly into the world as physical decorative blocks. When placed onto a surface, a single coin stack block appears as a neat pile of minted disks.
Players can increase the pile's height by right-clicking the placed block while holding additional coin stacks of the same metal type. Each stack added increases the visual layer count:
- A single layer contains 4 coins.
- Right-clicking with additional stacks increases the pile in increments of 4, up to a maximum height of 32 coins on a single block space.
- When mined with any pickaxe or by hand, the stack drops its accumulated coins in exact multiples of 4, dropping from 4 coins for a single layer up to 32 coins for a fully stacked pile.
These placed coin piles allow builders to create realistic bank vaults, treasure vaults, shop displays, and market stalls that players can physically interact with.
