Polished Cut and Small Packed Mud Brick Building Blocks Guide
Polished cut and small/cut packed mud brick building blocks give you several related decorative block families to build with, and each one can be produced either through stonecutting or through crafting. The blocks covered here are 
Polished Cut Packed Mud, 
Polished Cut Packed Mud Stairs, 
Polished Cut Packed Mud Slab, 
Polished Cut Packed Mud Wall, 
Small Packed Mud Bricks, and 
Cut Packed Mud Bricks. These are decorative building variants in the style of Create: Design 'n' Decor, an addon that expands on Create's base decoration options with quality-of-life features and block variants shaped by community feedback.
Starting From Cut Packed Mud
Every block in this group can be reached by stonecutting 
Cut Packed Mud. That single input covers all six outputs, so once you have Cut Packed Mud on hand you can cut it directly into whichever shape you need:
- Polished Cut Packed Mud
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Stairs
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Slab
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Wall
- Small Packed Mud Bricks
- Cut Packed Mud Bricks
Stonecutting is the most direct route because it skips the intermediate crafting steps for the polished family.
Polished Cut Packed Mud and Its Shapes
Polished Cut Packed Mud is the base block of the polished family. You can obtain it by stonecutting Cut Packed Mud, or by combining two Polished Cut Packed Mud Slab in a shapeless recipe to recover one full block.
From Polished Cut Packed Mud you can craft the matching stairs, slab, and wall:
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Stairs: a shaped recipe using six Polished Cut Packed Mud.
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Slab: a shaped recipe using three Polished Cut Packed Mud.
- Polished Cut Packed Mud Wall: a shaped recipe using six Polished Cut Packed Mud.
Each of these three shapes can also be produced by stonecutting Cut Packed Mud directly, so you are not forced to craft the full block first if you already have the cut variant.
Small and Cut Packed Mud Bricks
The brick variants work a little differently from the polished family. Small Packed Mud Bricks and Cut Packed Mud Bricks are both stonecut from Cut Packed Mud.
They can also be reassembled from their slab forms:

Cut Packed Mud Brick Slab combine in a shapeless recipe to make Cut Packed Mud Bricks.
This mirrors the slab-to-block conversion used by Polished Cut Packed Mud, letting you turn slab pieces back into full blocks when your build plans change.
Choosing a Route
Because Cut Packed Mud stonecuts into every block in this set, the stonecutter is the simplest way to move between variants without leftover intermediates. Crafting becomes useful when you already have full blocks or slabs and want to convert them:
- Use shaped recipes to turn Polished Cut Packed Mud into its stairs, slab, or wall.
- Use shapeless recipes to turn Polished Cut Packed Mud Slab, Small Packed Mud Brick Slab, or Cut Packed Mud Brick Slab back into their full blocks.
With both routes available, you can produce Polished Cut Packed Mud, its stairs, slab, and wall, plus Small Packed Mud Bricks and Cut Packed Mud Bricks from the same starting material and mix them freely in a build.
