Critters and Companions Crafting Machine Recipes Guide
The crafting machine in Critters and Companions is a dedicated block used to create special hats, armor, tools, and blocks from materials gathered from the mod’s creatures. It has a total of 15 recipes, all of which are listed below.
Hats and Armor
The crafting machine lets you turn natural materials into wearable gear.
Acorn Hat – Place 5 
Acorns in a shaped pattern to craft this hat.
Iron Dragonfly Armor – Combine 3 
Iron Ingots in a shaped recipe.
Gold Dragonfly Armor – Combine 3 
Gold Ingots in a shaped recipe.
Diamond Dragonfly Armor – Combine 3 
Diamonds (using the diamond gem tag) in a shaped recipe.
These armor pieces are crafted in the machine rather than a standard crafting table, so you will need to set up the machine and use it directly.
Tools and Utility Items
Several recipes produce tools or items that help with movement and creature handling.
Grappling Hook – Place 4 
Silk and 1 Iron Ingot in a shaped pattern. The Silk is arranged around the iron ingot to form the hook.
Silk Lead – Combine 4 Silk with 1 Slime Ball (using the slime ball tag) in a shaped recipe. This lead is useful for controlling certain creatures.
Pearl Necklace 1 – Place 4 
Pearls in a square to craft the first tier of this necklace.
Pearl Necklace 2 – Combine 1 Pearl Necklace 1 with 1 Pearl to upgrade it.
Pearl Necklace 3 – Combine 1 Pearl Necklace 2 with 1 Pearl to craft the final tier.
The pearl necklaces are made step by step, so you must craft the lower tiers before the higher ones.
Blocks and Material Conversion
The machine also converts creature drops into more useful blocks and resources.
Sea Bunny Slime Block – Place 4 
Sea Bunny Slime Bottles in a shaped pattern to create this solid block.- Slimeball from Sea Bunny – Put 1 Sea Bunny Slime Bottle into the machine to get 1
Slimeball. - Slimeball from Snail – Put 1
Snail Slime Bottle into the machine to get 1 Slimeball. - String from Silk – Place 1 Silk into the machine to receive 2
String. - Bone Meal from Clam – Place 1
Clam into the machine to get 3 
Bone Meal. 
Ender Pearl – Combine 1 Pearl with 1 
Popped Chorus Fruit to craft an Ender Pearl.

- Shaped recipes require exact placement of items in the grid, as indicated by the patterns for the Acorn Hat, Grappling Hook, Silk Lead, and Sea Bunny Slime Block.
- Simple conversion recipes only need a single input item, such as turning Silk into String or a Clam into Bone Meal.
- The pearl necklace chain requires sequential crafting – you cannot skip from Pearl directly to Pearl Necklace 2 or 3.
