This guide explains the crafting and upgrading of pearl necklaces through three tiers. Each tier improves the necklace by adding more pearls, and the process is straightforward once you have the base materials.
Required Material: Pearls
Before crafting any necklace, you need 
Pearls. These are the only material required for all three tiers. Collect as many as you can, since each necklace tier consumes pearls either in the initial craft or as an upgrade ingredient.
Pearl Necklace 1
The first tier is the foundation. To craft 
Pearl Necklace 1, you need exactly four Pearls.
- Arrange the four pearls in a shaped crafting pattern. This means the pearls must be placed in a specific layout in the crafting grid — not just scattered anywhere. The exact shape is a 2x2 square of pearls, filling all four slots in that square.
Once placed correctly, the result is a single Pearl Necklace 1. This is the lowest tier and serves as the starting point for all upgrades.
Pearl Necklace 2
The second tier is an upgrade, not a fresh craft. To make 
Pearl Necklace 2, you combine one Pearl Necklace 1 with one additional Pearl.
- This crafting recipe is shapeless. That means the order and position of the items in the crafting grid do not matter. Simply place the Pearl Necklace 1 and the Pearl anywhere in the grid together.
The output is one Pearl Necklace 2. Note that this consumes the Pearl Necklace 1 — you cannot get it back after the upgrade. The single pearl is also used up.
Pearl Necklace 3
The third and final tier follows the same upgrade logic. To craft 
Pearl Necklace 3, combine one Pearl Necklace 2 with one more Pearl.
- Like the previous upgrade, this recipe is shapeless. Put the Pearl Necklace 2 and the Pearl into the crafting grid in any arrangement.
The result is one Pearl Necklace 3. This consumes the Pearl Necklace 2 and the extra pearl. There is no tier beyond this — Pearl Necklace 3 is the highest upgrade available.
Summary of Costs
Here is the total material cost if you start from scratch and go all the way to tier 3:
- Pearl Necklace 1: 4 pearls (crafted shaped)
- Pearl Necklace 2: 1 pearl (added to Pearl Necklace 1)
- Pearl Necklace 3: 1 pearl (added to Pearl Necklace 2)
So the full path from zero to Pearl Necklace 3 requires six Pearls total: four for the initial craft, then one for each upgrade step.
Practical Tips
- Always craft the Pearl Necklace 1 first — you cannot skip directly to a higher tier.
- Because the upgrade recipes are shapeless, you do not need to worry about grid placement for tiers 2 and 3. Only the initial tier requires a specific pattern.
- Keep your necklaces safe. Upgrading consumes the lower-tier item, so if you want both a tier 1 and a tier 3 necklace, you need to craft two separate tier 1 necklaces and upgrade only one of them.
- The shaped recipe for tier 1 is the only step where you need to be precise. Double-check that you have exactly four pearls in the 2x2 square before confirming the craft.
