Customizing Splash Screen Colors and the Custom Progress Bar Mode
The Custom Splash Screen Config screen is where you change how the loading splash looks, including the progress bar's colors, its background and frame, and the Custom Progress Bar Mode toggle.
Opening the config
Everything here is handled through the mod's interface rather than through crafting or items. Open the Custom Splash Screen Config screen, then adjust each setting listed below. Any action that has a hotkey uses the corresponding hotkey, which you set in the controls menu — no key is assigned by default unless stated.
Progress bar colors
Three separate color settings control the bar itself and the area around it:
- Progress Bar Color — sets the color of the filled portion of the progress bar, the part that grows as loading continues.
- Progress Bar Frame Color — sets the color of the frame drawn around the progress bar.
- Progress Bar Background Color — sets the color of the background behind the bar, inside the frame.
Use Progress Bar Background to control the background element tied to the progress bar. Keeping the three colors distinct makes the filled portion easy to read against the frame and the background.
Custom progress bar mode
Custom Progress Bar Mode switches the splash over to the mod's own progress bar instead of the standard one. Turn it on when you want the bar to use the custom colors and styling described above. With it off, the custom color settings have no visible effect on the bar.
Spinning circle settings
When the custom bar is active, a spinning circle is drawn as part of the loading display. Three settings shape it:
- Spinning Circle Size — controls how large the spinning circle appears.
- Spinning Circle Speed — controls how fast the circle spins.
- Spinning Circle Trail Length — controls how long the trailing motion behind the circle is.
A larger size, a faster speed, or a longer trail all make the spinner more prominent; smaller values keep it subtle.
Logo blending
Use Blending on Logo toggles blending for the logo on the splash screen. Turn it on if you want the logo blended with what is behind it; turn it off for a solid logo.
Suggested order of operations
- Open the Custom Splash Screen Config screen.
- Enable Custom Progress Bar Mode so the custom bar is used.
- Set Progress Bar Color, Progress Bar Frame Color, and Progress Bar Background Color to values that contrast with each other.
- Adjust Spinning Circle Size, Spinning Circle Speed, and Spinning Circle Trail Length until the spinner looks right.
- Decide whether Use Blending on Logo should be on or off.
- Confirm Progress Bar Background matches the look you want behind the bar.
Quick reference
- Custom Splash Screen Config — the screen holding all of these options.
- Progress Bar Color — color of the filled bar.
- Progress Bar Frame Color — color of the bar's frame.
- Progress Bar Background Color — color behind the bar.
- Progress Bar Background — the progress bar background element.
- Custom Progress Bar Mode — use the mod's custom progress bar.
- Spinning Circle Size — size of the spinner.
- Spinning Circle Speed — rotation speed of the spinner.
- Spinning Circle Trail Length — length of the spinner's trail.
- Use Blending on Logo — blend the logo with its surroundings.
Change one setting at a time and check the splash so you can tell which adjustment produced which result. If a hotkey is involved for any action, use the corresponding hotkey and set it in the controls menu first.
