Adjusting the Spinning Circle's Size, Speed, and Trail Length in Custom Splash Screen
Custom Splash Screen includes three dedicated settings for the spinning circle, letting you change how large it looks, how fast it rotates, and how long its trail extends. All three are found in the mod's configuration interface under the Custom Splash Screen Config screen.
Where the Settings Live
Open the config screen to reach every option described here. The three circle settings appear as Spinning Circle Size, Spinning Circle Speed, and Spinning Circle Trail Length. Each one controls a separate visual property, so you can tune them independently of one another.
Spinning Circle Size
Spinning Circle Size determines how large the spinning circle is drawn. Increasing the value makes the circle bigger; decreasing it makes the circle smaller. Adjust it until the circle fits the look you want against the rest of the splash screen.
If you also use a custom progress bar, keep the circle's size in mind so the two elements stay visually balanced.
Spinning Circle Speed
Spinning Circle Speed controls how quickly the circle rotates. A higher value spins it faster, while a lower value slows the rotation down. This setting only affects the rate of spin, not the circle's dimensions or its trail.
Spinning Circle Trail Length
Spinning Circle Trail Length sets how far the trailing effect extends behind the spinning circle. A longer trail leaves a more pronounced streak; a shorter trail keeps the motion tighter and more subtle. Like the other two options, it changes only this one property.
Operating the Interface
Move through the config screen and select the setting you want to change, then adjust its value. The change applies to the spinning circle directly, so you can compare results as you go. Repeat for each of the three settings until the circle looks right.
If the mod provides a hotkey for opening its config screen, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to bring the interface up quickly instead of going through other menus.
Related Splash Screen Options
The same config screen holds other appearance settings you may want to pair with the circle adjustments:
- Progress Bar Background — toggles the background behind the progress bar.
- Progress Bar Color — sets the color of the progress bar itself.
- Progress Bar Frame Color — sets the color of the bar's frame.
- Progress Bar Background Color — sets the color of the bar's background.
- Custom Progress Bar Mode — switches the progress bar to its custom mode.
- Use Blending on Logo — enables blending on the logo.
These do not change the spinning circle, but they affect the same splash screen, so adjusting them alongside the circle settings gives you a consistent overall result.
Quick Reference
- Spinning Circle Size — how big the circle appears.
- Spinning Circle Speed — how fast the circle rotates.
- Spinning Circle Trail Length — how long the trail behind the circle is.
All three are adjusted in the Custom Splash Screen Config interface. Change one value at a time to see its effect clearly, then move on to the next.
