Deep Aether: Expanding the Aether Dimension
Deep Aether is an addon for The Aether that gives the sky dimension a major content expansion in its original style. This guide covers what it adds.
New biomes
Deep Aether aims to give the Aether a Nether-Update-style expansion, adding new biomes to venture into: the Aerglow Forest and Blue Aerglow Forest, the Aerlavender Fields, the Yagroot Swamp and the Golden Heights. Each brings its own scenery, blocks and creatures to a dimension that was previously more uniform.
Skyjade and new gear
The standout material is Skyjade, found in Holystone, with its own blocks, armor, tools and weapons. Skyjade's ability is unusual: it is powerful on first use but grows weaker as durability is lost — the opposite of normal wear — so it rewards fresh, well-maintained gear.
Getting started
Deep Aether requires The Aether, so set up the base mod first, then explore the new biomes for Skyjade and the addon's other ores, tools and armor. Treat it as a reason to venture deeper into the Aether, filling out the dimension with fresh regions, materials and challenges in the Aether's own aesthetic.
