How to Open the Drippy Loading Screen Customization Screen and Start Editing
Drippy Loading Screen is customized entirely through its own on-screen editor, not through crafting or chat commands. The entry point is a button labeled CLICK HERE TO CUSTOMIZE!, which appears on the loading screen itself. Selecting it opens the customization interface where every background, bar, logo, and watermark option lives.
Opening the Editor
The CLICK HERE TO CUSTOMIZE! button is your way in. Its own description notes that this button is attached to FancyMenu's menu bar, which means you can remove it from view by hiding that menu bar. If you have hidden the bar and want the button back, unhide the menu bar.
Once the editor is open, you will see the main Customize Loading Screen area along with a separate Customize EARLY Loading Screen entry.
Customizing the Early Loading Screen
The Customize EARLY Loading Screen option lets you change NeoForge's early loading screen — the plain screen that appears before Drippy's own loading screen takes over. This requires the "Drippy Early Loading Module" to be present. If it is not, you will see a module missing notice telling you that the dependency is required and where the module can be obtained. Without that module, this particular customization cannot be used.
Background Options
Under the background settings you will find Configure Color Background, described as a simple HEX color background. It provides a Color [HEX] [Drippy] field where you type a hex value. If the value you enter is not valid, the editor responds with invalid color and the message that you must input a valid HEX color first.
For image backgrounds, use Set Background Image. A related toggle, Preserve Background Aspect Ratio, keeps the image's proportions intact. If you change your mind, Restore Aspect Ratio returns things to the default ratio.
Loading Bar Options
The Vanilla-Like Game Loading Bar [Drippy] gives you a progress bar styled like the standard game one. Its description notes that it only shows real progress when it is used inside a Drippy layout. To build your own bar, use Set Bar Background Image and Set Bar Progress Image. You can reposition the bar with Set Bar Position Offset.
If you want a numeric readout instead, Loading Progress [Percent] [Drippy] displays the current game loading progress as a percentage.
Logo, Watermark, and Layout Settings
- Set Logo Position Offset moves the logo.
- Set Watermark Image chooses a watermark graphic, Set Watermark Size scales it, and Set Watermark Position Offset moves it.
- Allow Universal Layouts controls whether universal layouts are applied to the loading screen.
- Hide Logger Overlay toggles the logger overlay.
- Fade-In/Out Loading Screen makes the screen fade like the vanilla one; note that it only fades in when resources are reloaded.
- Early Fade-Out Elements makes loading screen elements begin fading before the background does.
- Wait For Textures in Loading holds back until loading screen textures are ready, preventing flicker during resource reloads. Turn it off if you get freezes.
Window and Preview Settings
Set Early Loading Window Size and Set Early Loading Window Title adjust the early window's dimensions and title text. Early Loading Preview lets you preview that early screen.
Any action that has a bound hotkey is triggered with the corresponding hotkey, which you assign yourself in the controls menu.
