Crucible, Dye, Athame Foraging, and Miner Mechanics Guide
Overview
This guide covers four distinct crafting and gathering mechanics in Eidolon:Repraised: the
Crucible, the Dye system, Athame Foraging, and the Miner block. Each operates independently, so you can pursue them in any order that suits your current resources.
The Crucible
The
Crucible is a multi-purpose crafting station with 33 total recipes. You will need it to produce many advanced materials and consumables. The following outputs are available, though the exact inputs are not listed here:
Ancient Brick (x16)
Arcane Gold Ingot (x2)
Bloodlust Incense
Calx of End (x2)
Crimson Gem
Essence of Death (x4 or x8, two separate recipes)
Frailty Incense (x2)
Frostbind Incense (x2)
Glistering Melon Slice
Gloom Incense (x2)
Glowstone Dust (x2)
Golden Apple
Golden Carrot
Gunpowder (x4)
Leather
Lesser Soul Gem
Magic Ink (x2)
Magician's Wax (x4)
Offering Incense (x2)
Parchment (x4)
Polished Wood Planks (x32)
Refined Crimson (x4 and x2, two separate recipes)
Because the Crucible handles such a wide range of outputs, it is often the first station you should set up when expanding your workshop. Check the recipe book or experimentation to learn the specific ingredient combinations.
Dye
The Dye mechanic is used exclusively for recoloring Warlock equipment. It has only 3 recipes, all following the same pattern: combine any dye from the common dye tag with a piece of Warlock gear to change that gear's color.
- Any dye +
Warlock's Boots → dyed
Warlock's Boots - Any dye +
Warlock's Cloak → dyed
Warlock's Cloak - Any dye +
Warlock's Hat → dyed
Warlock's Hat
This is a simple cosmetic system. The dye is consumed, and the resulting item retains its original stats while adopting the new color. You can repeat the process to change the color again later.
Athame Foraging
Athame Foraging is a gathering method that uses an athame to harvest specific magical plants. There are 5 recipes in this category, each yielding a unique plant item:
These plants are likely found in different biomes or conditions, so you may need to explore to locate each one. The athame itself is the key tool for this process; standard shears or bare hands will not work for these particular foraged goods.
Miner
The Miner is a single-purpose block with exactly one recipe. It requires a tag-based input:
- Any block tagged as `#occultism:miners/deeps` →
Deepslate Lead Ore
This means the Miner converts a specific category of deepslate ore into Deepslate Lead Ore. If you have access to blocks in that tag, you can use the Miner to produce lead ore directly, which is useful for steady resource generation. The Miner does not process other ore types or produce any other output.
Practical Notes
- The
Crucible is your main source for incense, magical components, and refined metals. - The Dye recipes are purely cosmetic and only affect Warlock armor pieces.
- Athame Foraging requires you to bring an athame into the field; stock up on these tools before exploring.
- The Miner is a niche but efficient way to obtain lead ore if you already have deepslate ores from mining expeditions.
Use these four mechanics together to build a steady supply of magical materials, customize your gear, and expand your ore collection.
