Kettle Brewing: Ointments, Soups & Infusions

guide

Kettle brewing enables witches to simmer complex multi-ingredient decoctions, creating potent ointments, enchanted soups, and spiritual essences over an open heat source. Unlike standard brewing stands that handle simple three-ingredient potions, the suspended kettle accommodates elaborate multi-step recipes that blend wild herbs, animal trophies, and alchemical extracts into concentrated supernatural elixirs.

Setting Up the Kettle

Constructing and mounting a kettle requires basic iron and organic cordage:

  • Crafting the Kettle: Combining two Stick, three String, and one Cauldron in a crafting table produces one Kettle. Position two sticks flanking a string in the top row, strings on the left and right of the middle row, and the cauldron centered in the bottom row.
  • Installation: Mount the kettle directly above an open heat source, such as fire or lava, and fill it with water to bring the kettle to a boil.

Preparing Redstone Soup

Redstone Soup serves as the vital liquid foundation for many high-tier magical infusions and ointments:
