Configuring Attack Cooldown Display Priority and Disabling Cooldowns for Pickaxes, Shovels, and Axes in Enhanced Attack Indicator
Enhanced Attack Indicator controls what the attack indicator shows and how it behaves, including which tools skip the attack cooldown and how cooldown displays are prioritized. This guide covers the cooldown-related settings: Attack Cooldown Priority, Disable Pickaxe's & Shovel's Attack Cooldown, and Disable Axe's Attack Cooldown. All of these are changed through the mod's interface, and each toggle or option is operated with its corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu).
Disabling Cooldowns for Pickaxes and Shovels
The Disable Pickaxe's & Shovel's Attack Cooldown setting stops pickaxes and shovels from having an attack cooldown. When it is enabled, those two tool types no longer wait out a cooldown before you can attack again, so their swings are not gated by a recharge timer.
To operate it, open the mod's interface and find Disable Pickaxe's & Shovel's Attack Cooldown. Toggle it on to remove the cooldown for pickaxes and shovels, or toggle it off to restore the normal cooldown behavior for those tools. Use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to switch the setting.
This setting affects pickaxes and shovels together as one group. There is no separate switch for pickaxes alone or shovels alone.
Disabling Cooldowns for Axes
The Disable Axe's Attack Cooldown setting does the same job for axes. When enabled, axes no longer have an attack cooldown, so you are not held back by a recharge timer between axe attacks.
To operate it, open the mod's interface and locate Disable Axe's Attack Cooldown. Toggle it on to remove the axe cooldown, or toggle it off to bring the cooldown back. As with the other toggles, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu).
Axes are handled by their own separate setting, so turning off cooldowns for pickaxes and shovels does not change axe behavior, and turning off the axe cooldown does not change pickaxes or shovels.
Setting Attack Cooldown Priority
The Attack Cooldown Priority setting controls the priority of the attack cooldown display. It determines how the cooldown indicator is ranked or ordered relative to the other things the indicator can show.
To operate it, open the mod's interface and select Attack Cooldown Priority. Adjust the option to set the priority you want for the attack cooldown display. Use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to change it.
Because this is a priority setting, it matters most when more than one indicator element could be displayed at the same time. Raising or lowering the attack cooldown's priority changes which display takes precedence.
Related Display Settings
The cooldown settings above sit alongside other display toggles in the same interface. These control what the indicator shows, and each is turned on or off with its corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu):
- Show Block Breaking Progress — display progress for breaking blocks.
- Show Ranged Weapon Draw — display the draw progress of ranged weapons.
- Show Item Cooldowns — display cooldowns for items.
- Show Food & Potions — display food and potion related progress.
- Show Sleep Progress — display sleep progress.
- Show Shulker Fullness — display how full a shulker is.
These toggles are separate from the cooldown-disabling options. Show Item Cooldowns governs whether item cooldowns appear in the indicator, while Disable Pickaxe's & Shovel's Attack Cooldown and Disable Axe's Attack Cooldown change whether those tools have a cooldown at all. Attack Cooldown Priority decides how the attack cooldown display ranks against the other displays you have enabled.
