How to Toggle On-Screen Progress Indicators in Enhanced Attack Indicator
Enhanced Attack Indicator is a utility mod that adds on-screen progress indicators for several in-game actions. Instead of relying only on the vanilla attack indicator, you can enable separate readouts for block breaking, ranged weapon draw, item cooldowns, food and potions, and sleep. Every one of these indicators is controlled by its own toggle, so you can switch each one on or off independently to suit how you play.
Where the Toggles Live
All of the indicators are governed by settings that are turned on or off through the mod's interface. Each setting corresponds to a single type of progress readout. Turning a setting on makes that indicator appear when the relevant action is happening; turning it off hides it. Because the settings are separate, enabling block breaking progress does not force you to also see sleep progress, and vice versa.
Block Breaking Progress
The Show Block Breaking Progress setting controls the indicator that appears while you are mining a block. With it enabled, you get a visible readout of how far along the break is. If you prefer to mine without the extra overlay, switch this setting off.
Ranged Weapon Draw
The Show Ranged Weapon Draw setting controls the indicator shown while you are drawing back a ranged weapon, such as a bow. When enabled, the draw progress is displayed on screen so you can see how close the weapon is to being fully drawn.
Item Cooldowns
The Show Item Cooldowns setting controls the indicator for items that are on cooldown. With it enabled, you can see the remaining cooldown progress for such items rather than having to guess.
Food and Potions
The Show Food & Potions setting controls the indicator tied to eating food and drinking potions. When enabled, the progress of consuming these items is shown on screen.
Sleep Progress
The Show Sleep Progress setting controls the indicator that appears while sleeping. Enabling it lets you see how far the sleep progress has advanced.
Attack Cooldown Options
Alongside the progress indicators, the mod provides settings that affect how attack cooldowns are handled for specific tool types.
- Disable Pickaxe's & Shovel's Attack Cooldown turns off the attack cooldown behaviour for pickaxes and shovels.
- Disable Axe's Attack Cooldown does the same for axes.
- Attack Cooldown Priority sets how the attack cooldown is prioritised relative to other indicators.
These are separate from the progress toggles above and change cooldown handling rather than adding a readout.
Shulker Fullness
The Show Shulker Fullness setting controls an indicator showing how full a shulker container is. Enable it if you want that information visible; disable it if you do not.
How to Operate the Settings
Each of the settings listed above is a simple on/off toggle. To change one, open the mod's interface and switch the relevant setting between enabled and disabled. There is no crafting step and no item required — the indicators are purely a display feature, and the settings decide which displays are active.
If a setting is bound to a hotkey, use the corresponding hotkey (set it in the controls menu) to trigger that action. Do not assume a particular key: any key assignment is yours to choose in the controls menu, and the mod does not impose one.
Practical Tips
- Keep Show Block Breaking Progress on if you mine often and want clear feedback on each block.
- Turn on Show Ranged Weapon Draw if you use bows and want to time your shots precisely.
- Use Show Item Cooldowns when you rely on items with cooldowns and want to track when they are ready.
- Enable Show Food & Potions if you want to see consumption progress while eating or drinking.
- Enable Show Sleep Progress to watch sleep advance.
- Leave Show Shulker Fullness on only if container capacity matters to you.
- The attack cooldown settings for pickaxes, shovels, and axes are independent; adjust each according to the tools you use.
- Set Attack Cooldown Priority to control how the cooldown indicator ranks against the others.
Because every indicator has its own toggle, the best approach is to enable only the ones you find useful and leave the rest off. That keeps the screen readable while still giving you progress feedback for the actions you care about.
