Enigmatic Legacy Potions, Brewing, and Consumable Items Guide
Enigmatic Legacy potions, brewing, and consumable items expand what a standard brewing stand can produce, adding ultimate potions, utility brews, and a repair mixture. This guide covers how these items are made and what each one does.
Ultimate Potions and Astral Dust
Astral Dust has a place in brewing that ordinary ingredients cannot fill. Its properties make it possible to create ultimate potions, which pair a strong effect with a long duration instead of forcing a choice between the two.
An ultimate potion can be brewed starting from either the extended version or, when the potion has one, the empowered version. The outcome is the same either way.
When a potion has both an extended and an empowered form, the ultimate result takes the better trait from each. Strength is the clearest example: its ultimate potion grants Strength II for 8 minutes.
When only an extended version exists, the ultimate potion usually doubles that extended duration. The ultimate Invisibility potion, for instance, lasts 16 minutes.
Potions with instant effects work differently. They simply gain one extra level, so a Potion of Healing brewed into its ultimate form applies Instant Health III.
Ultimate potions can also be turned into splash and lingering versions through the usual brewing methods.
Potion of Haste
The Potion of Haste is less familiar than the standard brewing set, but its uses are easy to see. Mining trips benefit the most, since the effect lets you cut through stone and dirt far more quickly. It also has some value in a fight, because your swings come out a bit quicker and string together more smoothly.
Brewing it is simple: add nether quartz to an awkward potion.
Redstone dust extends how long the effect lasts, while glowstone raises its strength.
Like any regular potion, it can be brewed into splash and lingering forms.
Potion of Molten Heart
The Potion of Molten Heart works as a stronger alternative to a Fire Resistance potion, provided you are willing to spend rarer ingredients for a better payoff. It makes you fully immune to fire and lava, puts you out if you are burning, and sharpens your awareness while you are inside flowing magma.
For anyone spending time in the Nether's lava seas, this makes the whole experience far more tolerable.
Redstone dust extends the effect. Splash and lingering versions can be brewed as usual.
Potion of Recall
Traveling to distant places is exciting. The trip back along a route you have already covered is not. The
Potion of Recall removes that return journey by teleporting you home the moment you drink it, or at least to whatever place counts as home.
If you have no home set, you arrive somewhere near where your travels first began. The exact landing spot is not guaranteed, only that it is close to that starting area.
Distance does not matter, and neither does the dimension you are currently in.
Potion of Twisted Mercy
Using the
Twisted Heart, you can mutate a
Potion of Recall into something with a different purpose. The
Potion of Twisted Mercy sends you back to the exact spot of your last death, giving you a chance to recover your belongings and the piece of your soul left behind.
The trade-off is severe. Once the teleport finishes, you are left nearly dead, and whatever killed you before may finish the job soon after.
Mending Mixture
Fixing gear is often slow, particularly away from your base when the right materials and tools are out of reach. The
Mending Mixture is made from a combination of costly arcane ingredients, but it earns its price. Applied carefully to a tool, weapon, or piece of armor, it restores even badly damaged equipment to perfect condition in an instant.
Do not drink it. The results will not be pleasant.
