Crafting and Shaping Warped Nether Brick Blocks, Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

Warped Nether Bricks are the starting point for a small family of decorative blocks, and every piece in that family can be made either at a crafting table or with a stonecutter. This guide covers the recipes for the base bricks and for the slab, stair, wall, and chiseled variants that come from them.

Making Warped Nether Bricks

The base block is assembled with a shaped recipe. You combine two Nether Brick and two Warped Roots to produce Warped Nether Bricks. Once you have a stack of these, you have everything you need to branch out into the other shapes, since each of them is derived from the brick block itself.

Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

All three of these shapes follow the same pattern: a shaped crafting recipe that consumes several brick blocks, or a single stonecutting operation on one brick block.

The crafting route costs more material per block than stonecutting, so if you have a stonecutter available it is the cheaper way to convert bricks into the other shapes. The crafting recipes remain useful when you have not set up a stonecutter yet.

Chiseled Warped Nether Brick

The chiseled variant is not made from the full brick block. Instead, it comes from the slab.

Because it is built from slabs, plan your slab production with the chiseled block in mind if you want it for detailing.

Using the Stonecutter

The stonecutter handles all of these conversions and a few related ones. It has eleven recipes in total. The ones relevant to this block family are:

Warped Nether Bricks into Warped Nether Brick Slab (two slabs per operation).
Warped Nether Bricks into Warped Nether Brick Stairs.
Warped Nether Bricks into Warped Nether Brick Wall.
Warped Nether Brick Slab into Chiseled Warped Nether Brick.

The same stonecutter also processes the Withered Blackstone family, which follows a parallel structure. Withered Blackstone can be cut into Withered Blackstone Slab (two per operation), Withered Blackstone Stairs, or Withered Blackstone Wall. Withered Blackstone Slab can be cut into Chiseled Withered Blackstone. Cracked Withered Blackstone can be cut into Cracked Withered Blackstone Slab (two per operation), Cracked Withered Blackstone Stairs, or Cracked Withered Blackstone Wall.

Planning Your Materials

A practical order of operations: craft Warped Nether Bricks from Nether Brick and Warped Roots first, then decide how much of the batch goes to slabs, stairs, and walls. If you want Chiseled Warped Nether Brick, reserve part of the slab output for it rather than placing every slab. Keep a stonecutter nearby so you can convert bricks into the other shapes without spending the larger shaped-recipe costs.
