Withered Bones are a resource in Eternal Nether that can be broken down into 
Withered Bone Meal and rebuilt into

Starting With Withered Bones
The first step is turning your raw 
Withered Bones into Withered Bone Meal. This is done with a shapeless crafting recipe, so the arrangement of ingredients in the grid does not matter. Place a Withered Bone anywhere in the crafting grid and craft it into Withered Bone Meal.
Because the recipe is shapeless, you can process bones one at a time without worrying about how they are positioned. Each bone you convert gives you meal to work with.
Breaking Down Withered Bone Blocks
Withered Bone Meal can also be obtained from Withered Bone Block. This is another shapeless crafting recipe. If you have Withered Bone Block on hand and want meal instead, place the block in the crafting grid and craft it down into Withered Bone Meal.
This means the two materials convert in both directions: bones and blocks both break down into meal, while meal builds back up into blocks.
Crafting Withered Bone Blocks
To make Withered Bone Block, use a shaped crafting recipe that requires nine Withered Bone Meal. Arrange the nine meal in the crafting grid to form the block. Since the recipe is shaped, the meal must be placed in the correct pattern rather than scattered randomly.
The result is a single Withered Bone Block. This is the only block recipe covered here, and it consumes nine meal per block, so stockpiling meal before crafting blocks is worthwhile.
