Ether and Its Vessels
Ether is the core resource in the Etheria mod, and you will need to store it in specialized containers called Ether Vessels to use it in spells and rituals. These vessels come in three tiers, each holding a different amount of Ether.
The smallest vessel is the 
Ether Crystal. It acts as a compact container for a modest amount of Ether, making it a good starting point for early experimentation. Next is the 
Ether Orb, which functions similarly to the Crystal but serves as a more substantial vessel. For the largest storage capacity among the basic vessels, you will want the 
Enigma Orb. This item stores a significant amount of Ether, making it ideal for powering demanding spells and rituals without needing frequent refills.
When you begin working with Ether, you will likely start with the Ether Crystal to learn the basics before progressing to the larger vessels. Remember that each vessel is defined by how much Ether it can hold, so choose the one that matches the scale of the magic you intend to perform.
Basic Crafting Materials
Before you can craft vessels or other advanced items, you need to understand the fundamental materials: 
Ether Shards and 
Ether Ingots.
Ether Shards are the raw, fragmented form of Ether. They are the base component for several early recipes. The 
Codex of Ether, for instance, is crafted by combining a 
Book with one Ether Shard in a shapeless recipe. This Codex is essential for recording and referencing your knowledge of Ether-based magic.
To create a more refined material, you can combine four Ether Shards in a shapeless crafting grid. This recipe yields one Ether Ingot. The Ingot is a more stable and workable form of Ether, and it serves as the building block for larger constructions.
Once you have accumulated enough Ether Ingots, you can create an 
Ether Block. This requires a shaped crafting recipe: fill the entire 3x3 crafting grid with nine Ether Ingots. The resulting Ether Block is a solid, decorative, and functional storage solution for your refined Ether, allowing you to condense large quantities of Ingots into a single block.

- Ether Ingot: Place four Ether Shards anywhere in the crafting grid (shapeless).

Practical Progression
Your early goals will revolve around gathering Ether Shards and turning them into Ether Ingots. From there, you can decide whether to craft an Ether Block for storage or use your Ingots for other purposes. Simultaneously, you should create a Codex of Ether as soon as you have a spare Ether Shard, since it will likely be your primary reference tool.
For storing Ether itself, begin with an Ether Crystal to handle small tasks. As your needs grow, upgrade to an Ether Orb, and eventually an Enigma Orb for large-scale magical work. Each vessel is straightforward to use, but the amount of Ether they hold is the key difference to remember. With these basics, you can begin experimenting with spells and rituals, confident that you have the materials and storage needed to proceed.
