Blood Infuser, Blood Chest, and Blood-Powered Machines Guide

guide

The Blood Infuser, Blood Chest, and related blood-powered machines are the core processing and storage devices in EvilCraft, each serving a distinct role in handling blood and creating advanced materials.

The Blood Infuser

The Blood Infuser is a machine that processes items using blood, with a total of 37 known recipes. It transforms a base ingredient into a blood-infused product. Examples of its outputs include Blaze Rod, Blood Orb, Blood Potash, Blood-Waxed Coal, Block of Blood-Waxed Coal, Bloody Cobblestone, Blook, Bound Blood Drop, Corrupted Tear, Creeper Head, Dark Blood Brick, Dark Power Gem, Dark Power Gem Block, Diamond Promise Acceptor, Ender Pearl, Fermented Spider Eye, Garmonbozia, Ghast Tear, Gold Promise Acceptor, and Grass Block. The machine can also produce all four tiers of Bowl of Promises (Tier 0 through Tier 3). Each recipe consumes a specific amount of blood from the machine’s internal tank, so you must keep the Infuser supplied with blood to run these conversions.

Crafting the Blood Infuser

To build the Blood Infuser, you need a Blood Infusion Core as the central component. The crafting recipe is shaped: place eight blocks of cobblestone (any variant tagged as `#c:cobblestones`) around the edges and one Blood Infusion Core in the center. The Blood Infusion Core itself is crafted by surrounding a Dark Power Gem with eight Hardened Blood Shards in a shaped pattern.

The Blood Chest

The Blood Chest is a storage container that also interacts with your blood network. Its crafting recipe uses eight Undead Planks arranged around a Blood Infusion Core in the center. Once placed, the Blood Chest functions as a specialized inventory that can hold items and connect to blood-powered systems, allowing you to store or retrieve materials that are used in blood-related crafting.

The Colossal Blood Chest

For larger storage needs, the Colossal Blood Chest is an upgraded version of the Blood Chest. Its recipe requires four Reinforced Undead Planks and one Blood Infusion Core. The Colossal Blood Chest provides significantly more inventory space than the standard Blood Chest, making it useful for bulk storage of blood-infused items or raw materials. Like the smaller chest, it integrates with the same blood network mechanics.

The Blood Extractor

The Blood Extractor is a separate machine designed to pull blood from a source. Its crafting recipe is shaped: three Spikes placed in a vertical or horizontal line, one Obscured Glass, and one Dark Gem. The exact arrangement uses the Spike items as the primary frame, with the Obscured Glass and Dark Gem filling the remaining slots. The Blood Extractor is used to collect blood from mobs or other sources, which can then be piped into the Blood Infuser or other machines that require blood as fuel.

Working with the Machines

When setting up these machines, keep the following points in mind:

  • Place the Blood Infuser near a source of blood, such as a Blood Extractor or a blood tank, to ensure a steady supply.
  • Use the Blood Chest or Colossal Blood Chest to store the outputs of the Infuser, especially if you are running multiple recipes in sequence.
  • The Blood Infusion Core is a critical intermediate item; craft several in advance since it is used in all three main machine recipes.
  • Check the Infuser’s recipe list before inserting items, as not every ingredient will produce a valid output. Only the 37 known recipes will work.
  • The Bowl of Promises recipes require specific tiers, so ensure you have the correct base item for the tier you want.

These machines form a closed loop: the Blood Extractor gathers blood, the Blood Infuser consumes it to make advanced items, and the Blood Chest variants store your results. Build them in order — starting with the Blood Infusion Core, then the machines — to establish a functional blood-processing setup.
