Expanded Delight Juicing, Cutting Board and Create Recipes
This guide covers where Expanded Delight's food actually gets made and how much of it depends on other mods.
Four systems, three of them borrowed
Only one recipe type belongs to Expanded Delight itself:
- Juicing — 5 recipes on 1.21.1, 4 on 1.20.1
Everything else runs through someone else's equipment. Cutting Board (19 recipes on 1.21.1, 6 on 1.20.1) and Cooking (17 and 10) are Farmer's Delight categories, and on 1.20.1 there are twelve more spread across Create's milling, mixing, crushing and cutting.
That makes the mod's real size very dependent on what else is installed.
The Create recipes are 1.20.1 only
Milling (6), Mixing (3), Crushing (2) and Cutting (1) exist on the older build and nowhere on the newer one. Twelve recipes is not a huge number, but it is the difference between a food mod that automates and one that does not.
The newer build is bigger everywhere else
Against that loss, 1.21.1 gains substantially: crafting goes from 27 recipes to 52, the cutting board from 6 to 19, and cooking from 10 to 17. In total the newer line carries roughly 40 more recipes despite dropping Create entirely.
Vanilla stations are a footnote
Smelting at 3 recipes, Campfire Cooking and Blasting at 2 each, and Smoking at 1. Eight recipes across four stations means the furnace plays almost no part here — the cutting board and cooking pot do the work.
What to install alongside it
Farmer's Delight is effectively mandatory: without it, 36 of the 1.21.1 build's recipes are inert and the mod collapses to its crafting list and five juicing recipes. Create is optional and only useful on 1.20.1.
Items over blocks
67 items against 36 blocks across 103 pages, and no worldgen structures. Everything is grown and cooked rather than found, so the first move is planting.
Choosing a version
If you want the most food content, take 1.21.1. If you want food that plugs into a Create factory, 1.20.1 is the only option. The loaders differ too — NeoForge on the newer line, Fabric on the older.
