Expanded Delight: Farmer's Delight Cooking and the Create Split
Expanded Delight extends Farmer's Delight with more crops, tools and dishes. This guide covers its recipe list and a version difference that removes an entire integration.
The recipe list, by category
- Crafting — 52 recipes on 1.21.1, 27 on 1.20.1
- Cutting Board — 19 on 1.21.1, 6 on 1.20.1
- Cooking — 17 on 1.21.1, 10 on 1.20.1
- Juicing — 5 and 4, the mod's own category
- Smelting — 3, Campfire Cooking and Blasting — 2 each, Smoking — 1
The newer build is substantially larger across every shared category: crafting nearly doubles, the cutting board triples, and cooking rises by seven.
Create integration exists only on 1.20.1
Four categories appear on the older build and are completely absent from the newer one:
That is twelve Create recipes on 1.20.1 and none at all on 1.21.1. So the two builds trade: the newer one has far more of the mod's own content, the older one is the only place it talks to Create.
If your pack is built around Create automation for food, that trade matters more than the recipe counts suggest.
Juicing is the mod's own system
Juicing carries 5 recipes on 1.21.1 and 4 on 1.20.1, and it is the only recipe type Expanded Delight defines for itself. Everything else belongs to vanilla, Farmer's Delight or Create.
It needs Farmer's Delight
The cutting board and cooking categories — 36 recipes on 1.21.1 — belong to Farmer's Delight. Without that mod installed, roughly 40 percent of the newer build does nothing.
The loader changes between versions
The 1.21.1 build is 0.1.4 on NeoForge and the 1.20.1 build is 0.3.2 on Fabric. As with the Create integration, the two lines are not simply older and newer versions of the same thing.
Scale
103 pages across 67 items and 36 blocks, with no worldgen structures. Ingredients are farmed, not found.
What the two builds are really trading
Counting it up: the 1.21.1 build carries about 101 recipes and the 1.20.1 build about 56. The newer line wins on volume by a wide margin, but every one of its recipes runs on vanilla or Farmer's Delight equipment. The older line is smaller yet is the only one where a Create factory can mill, mix, crush or cut this mod's ingredients for you.
That is a genuine trade rather than a straight upgrade, and which side wins depends entirely on whether your pack automates food.
Where to start on either build
Plant first. With no worldgen structures and no ore, every recipe in the mod traces back to a crop, so the crafting list stays out of reach until something is growing.
