The functional blocks worth placing first

Two blocks carry nearly all the mod's recipes and should anchor any kitchen layout: the cutting board with 106 recipes and the cooking pot with 28. Everything else in the room is convenience around those two.

Decorative crates and storage

Crop crates and the storage blocks are craft-and-place items from the 140-recipe crafting list. They double as compact storage and as decoration, which is why a Farmer's Delight pantry tends to be built from the mod's own blocks rather than from chests.

What only appears with other mods

Several recipe categories — Cloche, Crusher, Milling, Mixing, Squeezer, Metal Press, Fermenter, Filling — are compatibility entries for other mods' machines. In a pack without those mods the corresponding blocks simply are not part of your kitchen.
