FastPipes Fluid and Energy Pipe Upgrade Chain: Basic to Ultimate
FastPipes offers a full upgrade chain for fluid and energy pipes, letting you turn a basic pipe into progressively stronger tiers. Each upgrade is a shaped crafting recipe that combines the previous pipe with four identical materials. The fluid line runs all the way to 
Ultimate Fluid Pipe, while the energy line currently stops at 
Advanced Energy Pipe.
Fluid Pipe Upgrade Chain
Fluid pipes move through five tiers. Every step consumes the pipe from the previous tier plus four of a single material.
Basic Fluid Pipe is the starting point. It is the input for the first upgrade.
Improved Fluid Pipe: craft a Basic Fluid Pipe with four 
Gold Ingot.
Advanced Fluid Pipe: craft an Improved Fluid Pipe with four 
Diamond.
Elite Fluid Pipe: craft an Advanced Fluid Pipe with four 
Emerald.- Ultimate Fluid Pipe: craft an Elite Fluid Pipe with four
Popped Chorus Fruit.
The pattern is consistent: each tier keeps the pipe you already made and adds four of the next material. That means you never lose progress when upgrading — the old pipe is simply transformed into the new one.
Because the recipes are shaped, the four materials must be placed in the correct arrangement around the previous pipe. The facts specify four of each material per craft, so plan your resources accordingly before you start.
Energy Pipe Upgrade Chain
Energy pipes follow the same structure but have a shorter chain. There are three tiers in the facts provided.
Basic Energy Pipe is the starting point. It is the input for the first upgrade.
Improved Energy Pipe: craft a Basic Energy Pipe with four Gold Ingot.- Advanced Energy Pipe: craft an Improved Energy Pipe with four Diamond.
The energy line mirrors the first two upgrades of the fluid line exactly: Gold Ingot for the improved tier, Diamond for the advanced tier. No further energy pipe tiers are covered by the available facts, so the chain ends at Advanced Energy Pipe.
Materials at a Glance
If you are building both lines at once, the material demands overlap for the early tiers. Here is what each tier costs in upgrade materials:
- Improved tier (fluid or energy): four Gold Ingot.
- Advanced tier (fluid or energy): four Diamond.
- Elite tier (fluid only): four Emerald.
- Ultimate tier (fluid only): four Popped Chorus Fruit.
Note that the Diamond step applies to both lines, so if you are upgrading a fluid pipe and an energy pipe to advanced at the same time, you need eight Diamond total. The Gold Ingot step works the same way — four per pipe.
Planning the Full Chain
To reach the top of the fluid line from scratch, you need to perform four upgrades in order: basic to improved, improved to advanced, advanced to elite, and elite to ultimate. Each upgrade requires the pipe from the step before it, so you cannot skip tiers.
For the energy line, reaching the top means two upgrades: basic to improved, then improved to advanced.
The material totals for a single fluid pipe taken from basic to ultimate are four Gold Ingot, four Diamond, four Emerald, and four Popped Chorus Fruit. For a single energy pipe taken from basic to advanced, the total is four Gold Ingot and four Diamond.
Keep the order in mind and gather the materials before you begin. Since every recipe is shaped, having the right items on hand in the right layout is the main requirement for completing each step of the chain.
