Utility Attachments for FastPipes Networks: Wrench, Sensor, Void, and Terminal

guide

Utility attachments for FastPipes networks — the Pipe Wrench, Sensor Attachment, Void Attachment, and Pipe Terminal — extend what a basic pipe setup can do. Each one is crafted from a small set of ingredients and serves a distinct role in managing how items move through a network.

Pipe Wrench

The Pipe Wrench is the simplest of the four attachments to make. Its recipe is a shaped craft using four Iron Ingot.

Because it needs only iron, the Pipe Wrench is a practical early craft for anyone setting up pipes. Keep one on hand as part of your standard pipe toolkit.

Sensor Attachment

The Sensor Attachment adds redstone-aware behavior to a pipe network. It is crafted as a shaped recipe from a Redstone Torch, two Iron Ingot, and one Basic Item Pipe.

The presence of the Redstone Torch in the recipe reflects its redstone-focused purpose. If you want your pipes to respond to redstone signals, this is the attachment to build.

Void Attachment

The Void Attachment gives a pipe network a way to dispose of items. Its shaped recipe combines Obsidian, two Iron Ingot, and one Basic Item Pipe.

Obsidian is the standout ingredient here, and it fits an attachment meant for destroying items. Build a Void Attachment when you need a destination that removes what reaches it instead of storing or routing it onward.

Pipe Terminal

The Pipe Terminal is the most expensive of the four attachments. It is crafted with a shaped recipe using five Iron Ingot, one Glass, two Diamond, and one Basic Item Pipe.

The Diamond and Glass in the recipe set the Pipe Terminal apart from the other attachments. As a terminal for a pipe network, it serves as an interface point for the system.

Shared Crafting Notes

Every attachment here uses a shaped recipe, so the arrangement of ingredients in the crafting grid matters. Three of the four recipes — Sensor Attachment, Void Attachment, and Pipe Terminal — each require exactly one Basic Item Pipe as a component. That means you will need to produce a Basic Item Pipe before you can craft any of those three.

Iron is the common thread across all four recipes:

If you plan to build several attachments, stockpile iron first. The Pipe Terminal alone consumes five ingots, plus two Diamond, making it the heaviest investment of the group.

Choosing What to Build

The four attachments cover different needs:

Each recipe is self-contained and uses only the ingredients listed above. Craft the ones that match how you want your pipe network to behave, and remember that the three pipe-based attachments all consume a Basic Item Pipe in addition to their other materials.
