Adjusting Body Movement Relative to the Camera in First-person Model
First-person Model lets you see your own body while playing in first person, and its settings control how that body shifts in relation to your viewpoint as you move around. The options live in the FirstPerson Settings screen, where you can toggle the mod and fine-tune each behaviour.
Turning the Mod On and Off
The main switch is Toggle Firstperson, which turns the whole feature on or off. There is also an Enabled by default option that decides whether the mod is active the moment you launch the game. If you prefer to start each session with the body model hidden, disable the default state and switch it on manually when you want it.
Body Movement While Walking
One setting makes your body sway forward and backward relative to where the camera is looking as you walk. This is the core adjustment for normal movement: it controls whether your body bobs along with your steps or stays fixed in place. Turn it on for a more animated feel, or off if you want the body to remain steady while you travel.
Body Movement While Sneaking
A separate option applies the same kind of forward-and-backward motion, but only when you are sneaking. Because sneaking changes your posture and pace, this setting is independent of the walking one. You can have body movement active while walking but still while crouching, or the reverse, depending on which feels right.
Body Movement While Sitting
A third option handles the same relative motion while you are sitting. This lets your body shift naturally when seated rather than staying rigid. As with the other two, it can be enabled or disabled on its own, so sitting behaviour does not depend on your walking or sneaking choices.
Vanilla Hands Options
Several settings relate to how your hands appear. Auto Vanilla Hands automatically swaps to the standard hand rendering whenever you are holding an item. A related option disables the mod entirely while you hold specific items, so those items always show the normal view.
Vanilla Hands Mode displays the ordinary first-person hands. A companion setting changes how that vanilla hand view looks based on your current perspective.
Disable Vanilla Hands while Swimming turns off the vanilla hand display when you are in water. This override also takes precedence over the dynamic mode, so swimming always uses the non-vanilla appearance regardless of other hand settings.
Other Display Options
Render Arrows & Stings controls whether projectiles lodged in you, such as arrows or bee stings, remain visible in first person. This also covers similar features added by other mods. Leave it on to keep track of what is stuck in your character, or turn it off for a cleaner view.
Using These Settings
Open the FirstPerson Settings screen to reach all of these toggles. Each one is independent, so you can combine them freely: for example, enable body motion while walking and sitting but not while sneaking, or keep vanilla hands only when holding tools. If a setting has a dedicated hotkey, assign it in the controls menu and press the corresponding hotkey to switch it during play. Otherwise, adjust everything from the settings screen before or during a session.
