Setting Homes, Managing Home Limits, and Creating Kits with Cooldowns in FTB Essentials
FTB Essentials gives you a set of commands and on-screen prompts for handling homes, teleport requests, and kits. Homes let you save a position and return to it later, while kits bundle items together so they can be handed out to players, with optional cooldowns and automatic granting. Everything below describes the messages and controls the mod shows you.
Homes
When you try to save a home, the mod checks how many you already have. If you have hit your allowance, you will see too many with the message that no further homes can be added. Home placement also has a height restriction: if your position is too far down, you get y too low, telling you homes must be set above a stated Y value.
Teleporting between dimensions is restricted in some cases. You may see not from here if leaving your current dimension is not permitted, or not to here if the destination dimension is off limits. If a destination cannot be resolved, the mod reports Unknown destination! or Dimension not found!. A teleport can also be blocked outright with teleport prevented, and an in-progress teleport can be cut short with Teleportation interrupted!.
Random location searching is available too. While it works you will see "Looking for random location...", followed by a confirmation showing how many attempts it took and the coordinates found. If nothing suitable turns up, you get failed. In some dimensions the feature is unavailable and reports not here.
Teleport Requests
Sending a request produces notify with the prompt "TPA request!" and an arrow. If you have already sent one, you get "Request already sent!". Incoming requests are handled with the Click to Accept and Click to Deny buttons. Requests do not last forever — you will be told "TPA request expired!" if too much time passes. If the other player disconnects, you see "Player has gone offline!". For players who are currently connected, the mod points you to the ordinary teleport command instead, since a request is unnecessary.
Teleport history is viewable, and when there is nothing recorded you get history empty. Entries in that list can be used with Click to teleport.
Kits
Kits are collections of items. You can pull items out of a kit into the inventory you are focused on, which reports added items and names the kit. If the kit holds nothing, you get "No items to add to kit!". Saving a kit can fail: cant store appears when the kit cannot be placed in your inventory, and "Not enough space in inventory to store kit" appears when there is no room. Attempting to create a kit that already exists gives "Kit '' already exists". A storage write problem is reported as cant update.
Distribution works by giving a kit to one or more players, confirmed by gave to players. Without the right permissions you instead see "No permission to give kit ''". Kits can be limited to a single redemption: one time only explains that the kit was already handed to that player. Otherwise a kit may be gated by a timer, shown as "Kit '' is on cooldown - remaining". Cooldowns can be cleared for one player with cooldown reset or for everyone with cooldown reset all.
Two kit settings can be adjusted. The autogrant setting changes with "Kit '' autogrant modified:", and when enabled the kit is delivered automatically the moment a player logs in. The cooldown setting changes with "Kit '' cooldown modified:".
Other On-Screen Controls
Several messages relate to moderation and status rather than homes or kits. Muting is announced with who performed it and for how long, and indefinite means the restriction lasts until it is lifted. Unmuting names the person who did it. A nickname change is confirmed as "Nickname changed to ''", while an overlong one gives "Nickname too long!". Duration entries must follow a specific pattern; otherwise you get expected format listing the accepted units. A speed boost is shown with its value, or none if the player has no boost.
Broadcasting can be ended, producing stop record or stop stream as appropriate. Self-removal is confirmed with kick self. The enderchest can refuse to open, reporting "Unable to open enderchest inventory!". Muted players who try to type are told they cannot use chat. For area tools, limit radius and players within report the current restriction and how many players fall inside the stated range. A configuration mistake where the upper bound is below the lower one gives max less than min, explaining that the maximum distance cannot be smaller than the minimum. If you issue a block-related action while not aimed at a block, you get not looking at block.
