Getting Started with Pink Salt
Pink salt is the foundational material for an entire decorative building set. To begin, you will need 
Pink Salt Straw, the raw ingredient. Four pieces of Pink Salt Straw arranged in a square crafting grid produce one 
Pink Salt block. This base block is the starting point for all other pink salt building pieces.
Crafting the Core Blocks
From Pink Salt, you can craft several primary building blocks. The most straightforward is 
Polished Pink Salt, made by placing four Pink Salt blocks in a square. This gives a smoother, more refined surface for interior walls or floors.
For brickwork, 
Pink Salt Bricks are made by placing four Polished Pink Salt blocks in a square. This brick texture offers a more detailed pattern than the polished block. You can also obtain Pink Salt Bricks directly from Pink Salt or Polished Pink Salt using a stonecutter, which is more efficient than crafting if you have spare material.
Slabs, Stairs, and Walls
To add depth and structure to your builds, use the architectural variants. 
Pink Salt Slabs are crafted from three Pink Salt blocks in a horizontal row, yielding six slabs. 
Pink Salt Stairs require six Pink Salt blocks arranged in a staircase shape, producing four stairs. 
Pink Salt Walls also use six Pink Salt blocks, but arranged in two vertical columns, giving six wall pieces.
All three of these—slabs, stairs, and walls—can also be produced from Pink Salt in a stonecutter. This is a convenient way to convert excess blocks into the exact shape you need without using a crafting table.
Using the Stonecutter for Efficiency
The stonecutter is your best friend when working with pink salt. It allows you to turn Pink Salt directly into slabs, stairs, walls, Polished Pink Salt, or Pink Salt Bricks. It can also turn Polished Pink Salt into Pink Salt Bricks. This means you do not need to craft intermediate forms if you have a clear plan. For example, if you have a large supply of raw Pink Salt, you can feed it into the stonecutter to generate any of the polished or brick variants without wasting resources on crafting steps.
Design Ideas for Construction
When building, think about combining textures for visual interest. Use Pink Salt as a solid base or for structural pillars. Add Polished Pink Salt for smooth, modern surfaces or as a contrast against the rougher base block. Introduce Pink Salt Bricks for accent walls, fireplaces, or exterior facades that need a more intricate pattern.
For practical builds, use Pink Salt Slabs to create pathways, half-height counters, or rooflines. Pink Salt Stairs are ideal for grand entrances, tiered seating, or decorative ledges. Pink Salt Walls work well as fences, garden borders, or as a way to divide rooms without blocking sightlines.
A common approach is to build a structure's main frame with Pink Salt, then fill in walls with Pink Salt Bricks. Use Polished Pink Salt for trim around doors and windows. Finish edges with Pink Salt Slabs for a clean, flat top, and use Pink Salt Stairs for any elevation changes. Pink Salt Walls can serve as low barriers on balconies or along staircases.
Mixing and Matching
Do not be afraid to mix the variants in a single build. The subtle color differences between raw, polished, and brick textures create depth without clashing. Since all pieces share the same pink salt palette, they blend naturally. Use the stonecutter to produce exactly what you need for each section of your project, and you will find that pink salt is a versatile material for everything from cozy cottages to grand halls.
