Gensokyo Delight Alcoholic Drinks: Wine, Sake, Mead, and Flask or Bottle Filling

guide

Gensokyo Delight ~ Youkais' Feasts handles alcoholic drinks through a simple fluid system: you store the liquid in a Flask, then move it into a Glass Bottle to create the finished drink. The same setup covers wine, champagne, mead, and burgundy, so once you understand one drink you understand them all.

The Flask

The Flask is the container that holds the drink fluid before it is bottled. It does not produce a drink on its own. Instead, it works as a receiving container when you empty other vessels into it. The following items can be emptied into a Flask:

Emptying any of these into a Flask moves their contents into the flask. This makes the Flask the central storage point for the fluids you will later bottle.

Bottling Drinks

To create a drink, combine a Glass Bottle with the correct fluid. Each recipe uses 250 mb of a specific fluid and yields the matching bottle. The recipes are:

  • Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:red_wine` -> Red Wine
  • Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:white_wine` -> White Wine
  • Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:champagne` -> Champagne
  • Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:mead` -> Mead
  • Glass Bottle + 250 mb `youkaisfeasts:burgundy` -> Burgundy

Because every recipe uses the same amount, you can plan around a fixed ratio: one Glass Bottle per 250 mb of fluid. If you have more fluid than that, you will need additional Glass Bottles to use it all.

Working With the Two Directions

The system runs in two directions, and it helps to keep them separate in your head.

Filling goes from fluid to bottle. A Glass Bottle plus 250 mb of a drink fluid gives you the bottled drink. This is how you turn stored fluid into something you can hold and use.

Emptying goes from bottle to flask. A Burgundy Bottle, Champagne Bottle, Mayonnaise Flask, Red Wine Bottle, Soy Sauce Flask, or Van Allen Bottle can be emptied into a Flask. This lets you recover the contents of those vessels and keep them in flask storage.

Notice that the emptying list is broader than the filling list. Not every item that can be emptied into a Flask has a matching filling recipe listed here, and not every drink you can bottle appears in the emptying list. Treat the two lists as separate references rather than mirror images of each other.

Planning Your Stock

Since the Flask accepts contents from several different bottles and flasks, it is the natural place to consolidate drink fluids. The bottling recipes then let you draw that fluid back out into individual drinks at 250 mb each.

A practical approach is to decide which drinks you want on hand, check that you have a Glass Bottle for each 250 mb you intend to bottle, and keep the rest in the Flask. The fixed 250 mb cost means you can count your bottles against your fluid without guessing.

The recipes do not overlap: each fluid maps to exactly one bottled drink. Red wine fluid gives Red Wine, white wine fluid gives White Wine, champagne fluid gives Champagne, mead fluid gives Mead, and burgundy fluid gives Burgundy. There is no substitution between them, so the fluid you store determines the drink you get.

Keep both directions in mind as you work. Fill Glass Bottles from stored fluid to make drinks, and empty the listed bottles and flasks into a Flask when you want to bring their contents together. With the 250 mb ratio as your constant, managing wine, champagne, mead, and burgundy stays straightforward.
